Love the review 👍 unfortunately I live in SCOTLAND so I won't be in the running to win this "BOSS" scooter, but I have to leave my comments on the Varla Pegasus and I feel that this product has really hit the all-round mark and the decision to go for the hard non-puncture Tyres makes this essential feature packed design a real prospect even for beginners. I really like the styling of the scooter. It has a bit of an Akira motorcycle look to it, which is really cool. I mean, Kaneda and his boys would definitely beat you up for riding it, but it’s got that neo-Tokyo vibe IMO.

received and assembled the pegasus today. rides really rough (compared to the eagle) seems to be caused by imperfections in the rear wheel (constant jolting varies with speed) seems like poor quality control with wheel manufacturing. I didnt expect it to be as smooth as pneumatic tires but when I ride on smooth pavement, I expect it to be smoother than what im actually experiencing. if ride quality of the eagle were 5 stars, the pegasus would rate at about 2 stars for lack of precision in the wheels resulting in a very rough thumpy ride

I was in DC over the 4th weekend and used some of the rental scooters there and saw the potential for one. What would be a good starter one to look at with decent range and for someone over 250lbs. I'd be very curious to know if it follows the Varla's trait with strong off a full charge with a huge drop off in speed once that battery gets down to about 75% or not.. That was something the varla owners griped a lot about on just how fast the speed dropped as the battery depleted

I did a max speed test and the scooter only dropped a few mph after it went to 80% It was still allowing me to travel at 25 mph right before it died on me.

@@toyotatrd it really depends on what you're looking for. If you're not mechanically inclined and not close to a place that does tire changes, it's a great choice. I don't suggest this scooter in highly populated areas like NYC because it's not as nimble.

Ahh nice design at a nice price! Too bad its under 30mph -the one thing no one ever mentions is you lose key mph from both weight and also wind resistance - after 5 years of riding I’d say the an adult is gonna wana go at least 25 up a hill = which would require top mph /power of 33/35mph - but this looks like a great competitor for an entry level commuter scooter :)

Trigger throttle can cause a lot more accidents than thumb though dont you think? Even if its more comfortable and more accurate I prefer the thumb for safety reasons. I dont ever want a chance of mistaking my throttle for break in a crucial moment.

We just received the Kaabo Mantis 8 to review. KaaboUSA is actually not affiliated with Kaabo. The owner of KaaboUSA is friends with the owner of Kaabo and they have allowed them to use the Kaabo brand in it's name. It's ultra confusing for customers.

It is hard for us to say since we have not reviewed the Apollo Ghost. It would be similar to the ZERO 10 because it is made in the same factory. I would say the ZERO 10 if you are willing to spend an extra $400. However, if you aren't the most handy...two solid tires are amazing for low maintenance.
