Been using these in the PNW and they’re amazing. I’ve even used these for winter hiking with snow spikes.

Have they gave you blisters yet? Back of my mate's achillies heal is messed up big time with the top of the heal of the shoe the way it slightly curves in to neoprene instead of being straight cutting into foot bad! Its put me off them this is what I remember from wearing adidas trainers years ago so I've really lost confidence in dropping buck 50 on them this winter! I need something warm though im in Scotland my feet are ice blocks just now!

Nice one Davi, I still do not think there is a whole lot of choice when it comes to MTB shoes. Alot of them look like skate shoes and I think this pair in particular (and the low version) look different enough because of the technical fabrics used. It'd be nice to see more shoes like this from other manufacturers.

I love winter riding (Michigan usa) - and good kit makes the white season just as much fun as the green seasons.....Got about 10 rides in FiveTen's not-so-ultimate, older style, Impact Mid EPS shoe (the one with the mostly waterproof exterior, thinsulate insulation, reflective footbed) when they were on sale from Adiddas for $45 USD. So far so good, keeping my feet comfy and dry in cold and below freezing temps (the sole still grips great on freezing cold platform pedals). Nowhere near as fancy GTXs you unboxed, which seal above the ankle WAY better than my EPS shoes, but for what I paid, I can't complain! Either way, you just can't beat FiveTen shoes. Hope somebody on your island wins a pair!

I got these last week. I’m not using them as they are a total pig to get on and off. Like the worst fitting wellies you can imagine. I am 50 plus 6’2 and I struggle to get down low a bit anyway. But these are almost impossible to get on for me. There is a pull loop at the back, and one at the front but that broke immediately so I guess that’s not a pull loop 🤦♂️ but that aside they feel bloody great on. Younger more fit riders probably won’t have my issues though 👍 Edit, looks like I have the older model. Avoid Although if it was raining on your ride, that may be a better test 😅 Second edit. This exact gtx model arrived, and with the additional Velcro opening it’s no better than the older model to get on and off. They are also a half size too small as the web suggested they run small on size. Stealth rubber is clearly grippy but how grippy do soles need to be? Studs on pedals are so aggressive these days is stealth rubber needed? My Solomon water proof walking boots never slipped on my studded pedals. Why do I need the extra agro of being exhausted getting these on, and probably a toilet accident failing to get them off in time before running up the cream carpet covered stairs to the loo? 😅 Return? Or get a bigger size. I’m really not sure

I’ve been using these but the non Goretex version, really comfy but I found the laces came undone so had to double knot them. Soles stick like shit to a blanket!

They are a pig to get on, IMPORTANT size up! Otherwise they work.
