Hey Reader Family! I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to be taking a break from posting until August. I’ve hit a bit of a wall in terms of creativity and I don’t want to force myself to make content, because I know it’ll leave me feeling like a machine and less like a human. I’m going to take a step back and let my creativity bank fill up again. With that being said, I’m hoping to get on a 3 days a week (Monday / Wednesday / Friday) posting schedule when I return! I apologize for being all over the place in terms of consistency, but thanks for hanging in there with me. That's what happens when you buy books brand new. I shop pre-owned. Same book with an incredibly low price tag. I can go on used book sites and find new books selling for $5.00 + free shipping. It blows my mind that people are so adamant to buy books on Amazon in brand new condition for $35.00 + shipping, for one book.

I find it kinda funny that it's "Les Mis" meets "Six of Crows". Because there's a thing called Court of Miracles which is kind of an important part of another Victor Hugo book, "Our Lady of Paris" (aka The hunchback of Notre Damme).

I read Serpent&Dove and it was fun to read but not intriguing enough for me to want to continue with the series. Nevernight is one of my absolute favorite books!! I think Crescent City is way better than Throne of Glass or ACOTAR.

In my opinion Kingdom of Ash is one of the best books in the Throne of Glass series and Acotar was just a prologue for Acomaf, so I’d definitely read those. (Amazing video as always!)

READ HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD! sorry if this came out aggressive, but I had a blast reading it and even consider Bryce to be my favorite leading heroine of Sarah’s. It may leave you wanting the sequel, but not too badly (like cliffhanger badly). Also, I too haven’t finished KoA but I found House of Earth and Blood to be a nice break from the Throne of Glass series. :)

Jesse to flick the fan open like a fancy shmamcy person just kinda pinch one side between your thumb and the second knuckle on your 1st finger (just loosely hold the rest of your fingers around it) then flick it to the side (if it's in your right hand then flick to the left) and it should open. Might take a bit of practice to get the feel for it but you should be able to dramatically open your fan in no time. Hope this is helpful.

I know im a little late to the party, imma give it a try anyway. *ahem* The nevernight chronicles written by Jay Kristoff is for sure a book you should read. We follow a young girl named Mia, who can control the shadows, on her journey through this fantasy world to get through this assassin school, and get revenge for her father's murder, although it turns out to be much more complex than that. There's also footnotes for the sake of extra in-depth world building, which i loved. It's its own breed of book, and I personally absolutely adored it. The humor is wonderful, and the world building just gets better and better. Warning: it is quite mature, more of an adult than a YA, and there is some smut. However, it can be both lighthearted, and downright heart-wrenching. I cried multiple times while reading. The characters are all so complex, and it is quite morally grey. I do believe you would enjoy reading this Jesse, along with anyone else reading this essay. I only wrote this in the hopes you would possibly read this wonderful series, even though I know im destined for heartbreak from your horrible habbit of not finishing series. Thank you for your time!

Tip for when a box is beautiful and you want to keep it but don't know what to do (in this case, Jesse's mug box): put it on display and use it to keep the random scraps you need but don't have a place for. I use mine to store extra chargers or scraps for projects. That way, its on display and functional at the same time.

Hello! I think you should find TOG to truly realize all of Maas's potential. It blows you away. I wouldn't wait for entire House of Blood and Earth series. CC had a bunch of info dumps because 1st book in series. Then it was also crazy emotional by the end.

As to your SJM dilemma, I just finished all of ACOTAR including the novella. The tone completely changes after book one FOR THE BETTER! I can’t explain why without spoilers, but I would highly recommend finishing the series. I’m on the same page as you with TOG. It’s my favorite series, but I can’t seem to get through EoS! I’m doing another reread of the series to try to finish it by the end of the year, but am totally in a reading slump atm. If I were you I would finish TOG and ACOTAR before delving into more SJM just for the catharsis of it!
