Its a cool set mate. I ordered the US version with English subs which retains the Japanese writing on everything including the book (I am a Japanese enthusiast), and the gold cardboard J-card. If you ever want to make a few quid back I would buy the booklet with the English text lol 😜. Just to note the US version also has a slim book of schematics for the vehicles e.g. ships/warships and fighter plane in the movie. But again the specs are in Japanese.

Hi AJ, unless your obsessed with the film I would give this release a wide birth (over four times the price of the standard blu-ray 😮) that being said, the blu-ray is just one disc, so I imagine your getting a lot more special features on that release plus the book and black and white version (and the 4K obviously) so I can see the justification for the price, it’s just wether or not you want to spend that much on a single title 🤑 thanks for showing mate, take care👍😃👍

Whilst I can’t buy deny this is priced bizarrely. And way over what I feel it should be. I don’t however feel any regret at all in picking it up. I have a fondness for Godzilla of old and new ( even enjoy the ‘98’ Matthew Broderick effort ) so for me. Justifiable. I also wanted the B&W version as it does really work for this film ( saw a dodgy versions prior 😉) After a year since release I was super happy to see we were finally getting it. So jumped in this straight away
