You handled that very well, most people would probably scare the bird upon first impression, you made sure it was comfortable and were very patient in letting it know it was safe. Keep up the good work!
I like how nearly 90% of the people in comment section are morons who have NO idea how to treat birds properly. She’s simply helping a bird who is possibly adopted/rehomed, and look at all of your filthy comments down there, ZERO understanding of livestock shipment, no animal knowledge at all. I would like to personally congratulate you on your new bird, it looks really chill and calm!

This bird is showing NO signs of stress or physical harm. Clipped feathers are for safety purposes and will GROW BACK if wanted by the owner. These owners have done everything they need to do to introduce a bird into a new home, and did not even cage the animal. By 4:20 in the video the animal is even allowing to be pet and seems to enjoy it. Before you harshly criticize animal caregivers make sure you know what you're talking about.

*Cosmic Serpent* Clipped feathers are illagle over here where I live. It's seen as as murder of purpose to these animals. So fuck you even if they grow back who says that clipping is for safety? LMAO I'm pretty sure you fell to the ground b4 you could walk. Are you gonna cut your child's legs of because you don't want him to get hurt? Well, that's the same thing as saying that clipping a birds wings is for safety. And get this, a birds main form of enjoyment is flight. To glided flight or smal flight which are the only things clipped birds are capable of. But real fucking flight. And BTW, I haven't watched the video yet but a parrot as this needs a cage as big as a room to be happy. And that cage, that's not gonna consist of his entire day ya know. He's gonna be in there to sleep at most. If your of to somewhere and cant take him with you the cage is also a place for the parrot. You don't really know what you're talking about do you?

Animals should be transported in small cages to ensure their safety. If the cage is to big, the animals could get thrown around, and in case of a bird that would result in life threatening injuries.

it does not hurt the animal for its wings to be clipped and it is for the purpose of preventing the animal from flying into fans or anywhere the bird can get stuck/hurt. They can always grow back, if you take the time and effort to make sure the bird is safe for flight.
@8030840066 жыл бұрын

fingerprints don't buy a bird if you don't want it to fly.
@boletarianbread73498 жыл бұрын
Vicky Kuroneko You know nothing about birds. If you don't trim a bird's wings they can get hurt. They have an instinct called first flight where they will fly up without even really knowing what they are doing. They will get stuck in trees and won't know how to come down. Trimming a bird's feathers doesn't hurt them, it's not like declawing a cat.
@vickykuroneko66408 жыл бұрын
Typical Lib Birds need to fly to be completely healthy, otherwise they can't exercise important muscles. And birds that don't fly are weaker and tend to live shorter - it's like cutting off a humans hands and saying "otherwise it could touch something dangerous" Large birds belong in the wild where they can fly hundreds of miles a day and aren't crippled and then chained to a human for entertainment
@boletarianbread73498 жыл бұрын
You are a fucking liar Vicky Kuroneko, trimming a bird's feathers does NOT hurt the bird physically in any way like cutting off a human's hands does. The bird does not feel pain from a trimming. Furthermore, you just made up that birds with trimmed wings live shorter lives. There is absolutely no evidence of that. Birds with trimmed wings live roughly the same lifespan as those with untrimmed wings. There are circumstances where it is inappropriate to trim a bird's wings, but trimming is not a universally bad practice and is beneficial or necessary for many birds. Quit talking out your ass like you know anything about birds.
