Have you used it? I've read a few complaints that it doesn't have much reach to get to the motor.

I've only used it so far for moving heavy shop equipment and unloading crated equipment from a trailer and lifting a mower. I don't see anything unusual that would make it bad for an engine block, although I haven't tried that yet.

How do lower it mines won't go down

Use the handle to turn the release valve. You may need to help the boom go down

It's a nice tool so far. I'm working on the video of using this shop crane cherry picker to unload heavy crates. I'll have it posted very soon.
