Indigo mostly owns small body aircrafts airbus and ATR. It doesn’t have any Boeing and wide body and this is a wide body that too in collaboration. So this is unique❤

Correction: istanbul both airports are international flight. Half of turkey is not in Europe. Only istanbul is divided in two continents. Turkish airline is really good and they had same amount of one way journey ticket if you book at right time service is much better

Sorry, incorrect information. IST - Istanbul International Airport is on the European side. SAW - Sabiha Gokçen Airport is on the Asian side but that too is an international airport. The only difference is that low cost carriers use mostly Sabiha Gokçen. Regardless, both IST and SAW have domestic flights within Turkey.

The crew and the plane both are from turkish airlines. This is known as " Wet lease". In this arrangement the aircraft comes with crew and is operated by airline partner. It's just painted in IndiGo livery. It had Turkish airlines livery before And Turkish airlines customer expected decent service only to find out it's code share flight and that too low cost. Many people felt cheated so they literally painted the plane in IndiGo livery. Whole crew is Turkish airlines.and pilots too. And they probably give zero fucks about service. I am not surprised. Why are they doing this? They did a code share partnership to feed traffic to Turkey.

IndiGo did this as an experiment. They want to expand globally. Which they will do now as they have A350 on order. This experiment worked for them.

Shops and People at Istanbul airport are not friendly. The prices are way too higher than it should be at an airport. If you ask direction from any sweeper or worker, they will demand tips, if you don't give they will start cursing you in local language. Coming to Turkish seats, the airline have very very congested legroom, not at all good for long haul flights. Their 787-9 is even worse. i am never flying again with Turkish or via Istanbul.
