What's up Jak and Daxter fans, Boomer here!
It's been quite some time since I've made an unboxing video so I'm definitely a bit rusty. I did get a lot of feedback from the community on what exactly you want to see from a potential unboxing of the "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" Collector's Edition on PS4 by Limited Run Games and tried to make as much of it possible. Crazy to see almost two villages were cut from the final game. Explains why Samos was kidnapped offscreen and the story was suddenly over when you reach the Red Sage's lab.

Fun fact: The Precursor Orb is known as The Strange Relic in the Uncharted trilogy. It's also a subtle nod to Jak and Daxter.

To this day the lurker shark is still my biggest fear, and seeing the image of it gives me the creeps...... I can easily hear the heartbeat sound every single time I think about that shark..... thus is why I never learned to swim..... Other than that I love this video and I learned that all the characters are humans lol. tbh I always thought they were elves because of their ears. Which also kinda makes me wish we saw more of Human Daxter and how Tess and all the Jak 2 and 3 cast would react to seeing his human appearance. I think it'd be funny and they'd make fun of him 😂 Also this might be because I'm hungry while typing this, but I thought the cards wrapper was candy 😂😂😂😂 I'm like oooh they give you candy yay! but the cards are still cool! Almost makes you wanna, DUEL!! I kinda wish I bought this which is why I'm glad your showing it, really appreciate it that you're doing this for us dude. I think that's all I have to say, use the Orb for easter! Also where's the notification squad 😎

Dear Boomer: I sincerely hope you can do this again with the collector's edition of Jak 2 & 3. I would love more than anything to see a "design bible" or similar works of art that would come with it. As someone who simply could not afford the collector's editions at the time of their release (and very sudden sell out rates), I would very much appreciate you doing another unboxing of this sort and going through the other material in such high quality.

Man this is so cool, I wish I had gotten a copy of this. At least I'm getting Jak 2 and 3. Thank you for showing this, I love it! It made me feel giddy looking at the bible/artbook. I wish there was more Jak and Daxter just looking at it. Makes me wanna play it again.

I miss you map T-T I remember having this with ps2 copy, back in 2004. I completely doesn't understand english at tgat time, so I do not quite remember what was written on this, haha xD This box, package is so cool! I wish I could got this. Also I wish they realese package for Ratchet abd Clank 1, I wpuld gladly take this with a stereo soundtrack, haha Sorry for my english. And Thank You for the video!

This was surprisingly relaxing to watch LOL. Isy’s unboxing skills Are impressive. I’m quite impressed with this collection. Those trading cards were really cool and I fucking love that concept art of all the areas in the game. Real interesting stuff.

Very interesting to see that Gol was named Fin and the final boss was actually going to be robot vs robot. I guess Keira smashing into the ceiling with a robot did not make sense or was very hard to animate. The plot got revised later on.

That would have been an interesting fight though. Imagine a remake of TPL, where they can follow their actually visions and don't have to adhere the PS2's limitations.

Thank you so much for the video! Really enjoyed it and probably the closest I’ll get to seeing the collector’s edition. I would really love to see Naughty Dog remaking all 4 of the first jak and daxter games, maybe even Daxter as well. They could beef up the original games with things that they previously scrapped and just make the games look like a proper modern game. I think it would still sell. I understand that they didn’t want to continue and just leave the games as they are, because the trilogy was nearly perfect. But i think these games have stood the test of time and deserve a proper remake and maybe an upgrade as well. I would actually also love it if naughty dog took the lost frontier concept and converted it into a trilogy of their own, because i feel like the story there has a lot of potential. Who knows what Naughty Dog does next, but i really hope that these collector’s editions aren’t the last we will see of Jak and Daxter!

Best physical release on the three. I like the egg better than the seal of mar of the blaster and I love the map poster you get here as well as the second poster.

I hope they are gonna produce more of these, their Collector Edition Jak and Daxter Games are a must buy for dedicated fans of the series. Please keep us updated if anything changes or happens on that matter Boomer. Thanks for the nice unboxing, made me want to have it immediately! Edit: As I checked if the game was available, I found some monkeys that think its nice to buy a collectors edition and put it on ebay as soon as it arrives for 3-4 times the original price in its sealed state. Just unbelievable that people who really want to have the collectors edition now have to pay even more than the original price, just because some greedy bastards think its okay to benefit from a limited edition of a game. If you really despise this just like myself, dont support this behaviour by purchasing it out of despair.

Well that is an awesome collector’s edition. I’m glad you were able to get one as you are such a big fan. Were you able to get the second and third game editions as well? If not, it’s OK as in my opinion Precursor Legacy is the best game in the series. Also it looks better on a shelf to have only the first game than to just have “Jak 2” and/or “Jak 3” stare at you in the face making you wish you had the 1st game to complete the set. Limited Run Games made more of 2 and 3 than 1 so you have the rarest one and more people have incomplete sets. That’s the downside of having soo few of these editions. Still if you are a Jak and Daxter fan, I consider this to be a holy grail among collectors. Now if only they made a Ratchet and Clank set...but they would have to port it to the PS4 first and I don’t see that happening at this point....maybe for the PS5.

IMO Jak 2 was the best in the series but the first game is aesthetically pleasing with wonderful vibrant colors throughout the game. Both have high replayability in my opinion. I replay the trilogy every 3 years during the summer lol

PS3 version of jak and daxter is the best version . Runs 1080 at 60fps steady and has the best textures. Funny u made this video I’ve been replaying these the last few days
