Hi, I have been trying to use the myo connect to connect the software to my laptop. The myo didn't come with the charging port, however, I do have a charging port similar to it. When it says plug everything in, the myo connect software is not recognising the cable for some reason. Any advice?

This thing sounds like a good thing, but it sucks. You CAN'T create your OWN GESTURE. You have to use PRE-DEFINED gesture. Please update yourself.
