Thanks Mike....you just inspired me to watch the Seattle '89 show. I bought Live Sh*t Binge & Purge the day it released. Blew me away then, stands up today. Tallica in their prime. I can't believe how well they recorded this. Just phenomenal. THANKS for reminding me this exists. Man....imagine actually being there???

When I was an Audiophile Nut there was a green marker type pen that you would coat the outer ring of your CD and it would improve the sound slightly. It would not let certain colored rays get out of the cd from the edge. That and I used to put little feet, brass or absorber balls and it would improve the tone and especially on vinyl.

I saw that tour THE BEST Metal Show EVER you just had to be there I saved two lil kids a short girl who were being crushed & stomped , My feet was off the floor for minuets at a time due to the crush I had elbow heads to get my hands down& feet on the floor , the encore ppl were jumping off the balcony.....They had a guy in a suit come out before the show to warn ppl IF yer not into this music pleasee get away from the front half of the floor they had Plywood barricade at middle of the floor it got torn down during Green Hell I left the front row where I was to the balcony to watch the madness the whole floor was a swirling mass of moshing people w/ppl diiving into the giant Mosh Pit while the Stage fell apart Kirk looked like he head was almost smashed from a lighting beam as Lady Justice crumbled it was never to be top by any other Metallic show after that they lost the FIRE.

A lot of people think the 89 tour was their prime but I disagree I think them live from 86 to 88 was the best, it’s just really hard to find footage n recordings that isn’t recorded on a potato. But even then u can still feel how intense their performance was.

Mike, do you play any picture discs? I occasionally put one on (I only have a few). I try not to, apparently they aren't too good for the stylus. More of a framing piece, I guess 🤷‍♂️ Nice box set too!

I play test any record I get, even the ones worth $500+(something like my Oysterhead LP), but I usually just keep them in storage afterwards. Doesn't hurt to spin it once or twice, and kind of pointless to buy if you're never going to open it/listen IMO, just don't abuse it, especially pic discs.
