I adore mine as well. I tried to put Montblanc Glacier blue in mine, but it just seemed far too dry for my liking for a medium nib. I ended up putting Robert Oster Evening Sapphire in it which is more wet and to my liking. I thought if I didn't like Evening Sapphire I'd end up trying Pilot Tsuki-Yo. Never got around to it though as I like Evening Sapphire too much. Glad you are enjoying yours!

Only the cap has the color variations. I kind of wish the body had them as well.

I don’t think you can wrong with either choice. I personally like the 146 more, but if you find yourself using the 149 more that tells me you might like it more.
