I had a T one time who molted right after arriving. He was stressed and lost like 4 legs in the molt including pedipalps. I was so worried about him and almost considered putting him down, but something told me not to. I helped hold his food for him with tongs during feedings until he molted again, and grew ALL of his legs back at once, practically to the perfect size. He was a beast, LOL.

For the rat problem in your car, just take some of Sinas furr, tie it in a bundle and tie it somewhere to your machinery where it wont get too hot and start to burn. Marten, weasels and rats wont go up there anymore because they will think there's a dog there. Thats what my dad has been doing for years and he had never issues since. You can leave it up to half a year in there before you should replace it, according to him.

Did anyone else notice that the leg behind the missing leg's space looks significantly smaller and a different colour to the rest with no pink on the foot. Could this mean that leg has also been lost at some point and has regrown to this during the previous moult? Could it be the result of a bad moult or is it just normal variation?

I'm very glad to hear that your _T. stermi_ moults out without issues, hopefully the little guy in the video will do better with his next moult. Ive had 3 slings for a little over a year now... *Not* an expert on these but be careful not to OVER do the humidity. Mine are thriving on coco/peat moss/topsoil/sand mix with a pile of moss in one corner. Once a week I overfill their dishes and keep half of the substrate moist. As they get bigger I imagine they may need a drainage layer, but for now they're fat n happy. You're probably good with the kritter keeper set up tho, since it's so well ventilated. Im keeping mine in acrylic display cases. Just watch out for mold
