I have this exact palette too - it is an absolute JOY to use and I even get a thrill just looking at it. I am very tactile and using exquisite, beautiful tools like this watercolour palette along with sable brushes & 100% cotton watercolour paper elevate the pleasurable experience of watercolour painting to an even higher level…

Beautiful. I have a different brand of handmade brass palette and I have never regretted the purchase or price. I love yours, I went looking at their website and I might have to get in line for that brush holder - it’d be the perfect companion piece! This reminds me that it’s time to go over mine and make certain that I have the best colours in there for me. I try to do that yearly because tastes and conditions often change.

In all my years of filling palettes. Finding new brands ( Daniel Smith, m,Graham, da Vinci all have. One to market after I had been painting for some time ) I would have put half the amount of paint into this gorgeous palette.

Wow- it’s amazing. I’m sure you will enjoy it. It’s pricey but I’m sure well worth it given the attention to detail and the exquisite workmanship. I’m an amateur beginner painter and just couldn’t justify getting something like this but it’s great to see it and know these things are available.

Beautiful palette! I bought a metal palette and need to get it filled so I can start using it. For the ladscape foundations classes I would love one that focuses on rocks. As an Arizona resident I have plenty of examples in the landscape but I am struggling with getting them down on paper.

I have trouble using my Copics - saving them (for what I don't know) cause they are expensive to me. I can't imagine messing up with paint such an expensive palette! LOL But that's just me. It is gorgeous and I'm sure you'll have it forever. The painting is just fabulous! TFS

Im a green aholic. But By Far most I use are DS Moss ( or forrest, I forgot) Green Sap Green and pyrelene green. I see no naples yellow? Brave you :P I can't do without. Moonglow I ADORE. I happen to own billy shovel her botanical set so you guessed it, I own multiple palettes. One DS One Sennelier and I treated myself to the insanely big jacksons porcelain palette wich is a joy two work with and holds both palettes lol. I know its ridiculous its biggest expense I did so I get the special feeling you describe with some overindulgent decadent stuff lol

Beautiful!! How do you get over the precious feeling of art supplies and tools? There are some my parents brought me from around the world that I cannot ever replace but I want to use. Like gorgeous jars of freshly ground pigments from Holland and Venice. I don't want to hoard them. Suggestions?

Imagine them in their new state as paintings…perhaps with precious subjects-paint Holland and Venice! And take tons of photos along the way. Delicious close-ups of them. You’ll always have that even if you don’t have the art medium any longer. 🥰

White only gets filthy. Plus I’m good at reserving white so I rarely use it-I carry a tube in case of emergencies but maybe once every few months I use it.

Although the palette is nice, I would never ever pay that much for it. It's like having Ferrari while many other cars can just get you from point A to point B. There are good art supplies, then there are luxurious art supplies. I am happy with good ones, will skip luxuries... of course, less I become multi-millionaire.
