I recommend isopods! They’ll clean up the poo and any decaying matter and are happy to share food w the snails. I keep my isopods and snails together and they get along

Snail nerd here, please never wake your snails up unless you really have to. Also, they can damage each others shells by climbing on them. This shouldn't be a problem if they have calcium however.

Hi, please don't ever wake up your snails from hibernation, they can die from shock. Just let them come out on their own. The fact the place you bought them from actually told you how to do it is a bit concerning. Also be careful with hard objects in the enclosure, they could fall on it and break their shell. Not sure what the mushies are made of but they seem kind of hard (they're really cute tho). Just some advice from a fellow snail mom 😊 Also if you don't want any mold you could put some springtails in there, they eat the mold and any food remains.

I've put my wild caught garden snails under the facet to wake them from hibernation so many times before I eventually lost motivation to care for them and tossed em under a small tree next to my porch while they were hibernating. I think I had over twenty snails keep in mind this was years ago in my life. I just got tired of hanging a tank over a facet while I dripped it on the walls with my fingers several times a day! Long story short my poor snails had a better life if they woke up whether or not they moved to new habitats or got ate by my aunt's and cousins dogs

I love this! They are so cute! Also not sure if it's maybe just not showing up on camera, but I think I noticed that one of your snails has two little dark lines coming out from the top of the inner most part of the swirl of their shell, and i dont think the other does; maybe you could differentiate them that way? Sorry if they both do and I just missed it on the video, but maybe that could help if one of them doesnt!

in case anyone is looking to this video for advice, i dont really recommend this type of enclosure. Snails need lots of ventilation so their soil (which needs to be kept moist) doesnt grow mold.

They don't though. I added springtails and it was fine. Too much ventilation will make it hard to keep humidity. The enclosure still shouldn't be used though because the metal is toxic to snails

I always tried to have bugs hatching or snails or something to show my children when they were young, but when my nephew was young I got interested in snail. I found out that they are great for our skin. They got rid of my nephew’s warts when we put them on his hands.

You guys probably don't care, but when we were in lockdown, I found a snail in my garden and kept it/FAST FORWAD 2 YEARS/that same snail is in my garden right now ! After my mum and dad realised how well I had looked after it, they let me have the pet that I've been begging for years for. A giant african land snail(I've had him for 1 year today). They're really easy to look after, just make sure that their tank is in great condition, on my channel, in the past, I've posted videos of him. Check them out! He's super cool.
