Thanks Larry for promoting my channel. More views and comments would be awesome. Many of the cds we have talked about you ended up buying. Very cool. Richard Thmpson, Paul Weller and Mudcrutch to name a few. Always look forward to getting together with you and the guys. Thanks again for the support. See you Friday.

I first became aware of Paul Weller when he appeared as a guest for the Who's Royal Albert Hall show benefiting the Teenage Cancer Trust back in 2000. He and Townshend did an acoustic rendition of So Sad About Us which I'm sure you can find somewhere here on the KZbins. ;)

In the UK nearly all the Paul Weller albums were issued as Deluxe Editions with extra tracks etc. There is an excellent Richard and Danny Thompson album called Industry which is well worth a listen. The Jam were collected on an excellent box set but it may be quite rare and hard to find. Keep up the good work x

Other Aspects is another Weller live album , I believe with an orchestra. I have it but not got around to giving it a listen yet! Favourites have to be Wild Wood and Stanley Road! Love a bit of Richard Thompson too, check out his earlier stuff with former wife Linda.

The Weller At The BBC is a great set, I have the 2CD version and it is awesome. The Heavy Classics compilation has a great song called Brand New Start, or if you can find the CD single of it, well worth getting. The 4CD version of Hit Parade is good too to hear all his singles from 1977 to 2006. Not sure if that would be easy or cheap to find now..

I regularly haunt used CD shops in my area. One I go to quite regularly is Time Capsule (hey Mike, I gave you a plug on KZbin). I prefer that to ordering used discs in the mail because you know straight away if you're getting damaged goods or not. Mike and his employees don't rewrap used CDs so you can just open it and see for yourself. That way, if it gets damaged, you know who did it - YOU. No finger pointing that way.

I literally crossed paths with Paul W. In Boston he was running from something (probably girls!) I said “Ey Paul” he kept going .🤣 Sonik kicks is my go to for solo Paul W.

It’s rare I get a faulty used cd, but I tend to get them at Half Price Books where they at least inspect them. I will order used online now and then if (like you with Paul Weller) I’m trying to fill in harder to find albums from an artist’s back catalog. Fun to see you get into both Paul Weller and Richard Thompson! I have been enjoying Rich’s record exchanges, I just need to leave comments but often I watch on my lunch break at work then run out of time! Poor excuse I know, I’ll try to get with it. I need to revisit Mudcrutch because I got a lot of Petty’s other albums after he passed away, but not the Mudcrutch records.

Hi Larry, Days of Speed is an acoustic live album - just him and a guitar and it's great. I think I told you Heliocentric is one of my least favourite Weller albums but hopefully you will find something ti like on it. Heavy Soul is great as is Studio 150 and Live Wood is an early solo live album . I have Fly on the Wall as well but not Will of the People yet. Unless I missed something I think you are missing A kind Revolution and True Meanings and a few live albums - also look out for Live at The BBC (this is some live stuff and stuff he did on radio shows ) that's worth getting . Enjoy your Weller fest

Had a listen to ‘Heavy Soul’ and it is very good. However, and I don’t know if many would agree with me, I believe any bluesy guitar based album that is without additional harmonica is a bluesy guitar based album that could have been even better. Some nice harmonica licks can so often be the icing on the blues cake. Having said that if the main artist is a harmonica player then I want some decent guitar work accompanying that as well. I’m just a greedy futha mucka. Oh, and don’t forget to put that spare set of teeth in water overnight.

Hey Larry. I own all of Pauls solo albums, apart from his first B-side collection. B-Sides and rarities. I’ve been meaning to get it but it is quite expensive even used. Wonder what you had to fork out for it? I recently got his latest B-sides (Will of the People, glad you like it as well) and the orchestral album, both which I unboxed on my channel a few weeks ago. Heliocentric is a often forgotten mid solo career album I often go to and I really like. Is it a little different? Hmmm… perhaps? Late career albums I love are Saturn Patterns, On Sunset and Fat Pop. One of his albums I never managed to get into, and I just don’t know why, is 22 Dreams. Nice to see you getting into Paul Weller (…and Style Council), not too many youtubers talk about him. Have a good weekend, cheers from Morten currently in Denmark.

Both Paul and Richard are big favorites of mine, so for me, your taste is fantastic. Mudcrutch and Tom is awesome. PS: You can’t go wrong with any Weller-albums. My top 3 at this moment are: Wild Wood, Saturns Pattern and Stanley Road. You’re missing the brilliant A Kind Revolution.
