UNBOXING OF A NEW ROLEX - THE 126660 ROLEX DEEPSEA James Cameron

Hello watch viewers.
I received a call the other day from my friendly authorised dealer for this amazing watch. I consider this to be one of the 'Halo' watches from the Rolex Proffesional line up. It is perhaps the most technologically impressive of their collection and has been a must for my collection.

I just bought this a week ago after 4 years on a waiting list. It's beautiful, yes it's big but it wears well and I dont find it heavy at all. I have never seen another in the wild before and I love it for that as well. I have a sub but I see so many that it doesn't feel so special anymore which is silly I know. I have a couple of limited edition omegas which I also love just because I know I won't see another out there. I think that sums up my watch collecting, buying pieces that not many others have!!!

The James Cameron 126660 will be a grail piece. The 136660 has a downgraded bracelet, so the 12 is the ultimate divers watch

From what I can gather the 136660 does have the glide lock just not the diver extension

Ma786sai Dua great video truly. Bless you. I sold my JC DSSD Ref 116660 Gen 1 in 2020. I miss it. Am buying another now but tell me is the 2023 DeepSea black Ref 136660 worth acquiring? I don’t like the fact that they did away with the divers extension on this Gen 3 DeepSea. Or do I buy the earlier Gen 2 Ref 126660?

Get the 126660 Im not 100% on this but the gen 3 looses the clever clasp extension I believe.

Ma786sai Dua yes I confirm you are absolutely right. The 2023 Gen 3 Ref 136660 unfortunately has done away with the vital foldable divers extension. That is a pity. Let aside any of us watch-lovers, enthusiasts never taking our DeepSea Sea-Dweller into the Mariana forbidding abyss, THAT extension is something that we want on a Submariner, let alone a DeepSea, as something that has always been a part of a diver’s oyster bracelet. I will buy a Ref 126660 in black

you may be right there you know from memory it is proportioned slightly bigger. to be honest I keep all the watches in a deli case in a safe and all paperwork and boxes are stored separately mate for insurance purposes so rarely see the boxes

Sorry but this watch is yesterdays news. Omega Ultra Deep has this watch thoroughly crushed in quality and depth rating. The Deepsea also suffers from old and generic rolex design.

Pistol Pete thanks for your comments mate. You make a valid point totally buddy, but I suppose like anything the saying goes 'you like what you like' :-) There are some great other brands out there which is why I do not collect only Rolex but other watches also :-) Thanks again for watching.

It's a great watch the Deepsea it doesn't matter if you have the black dial the1 I have or the blue and black dial there a great watch I put mine on last night I only wear it for good occasions now I used to wear it everyday mine is the 2017 1 the original black dial it's beautiful it looks brand new I've had it for 6 years now
