Thank you for this careful and extensive test. I also bought this device a few days ago. Also with me the humidity value did not match with a calibrated humidity meter at home. The Ikea indicated a humidity of 60% while the calibrated meter indicated 52%. The deviation is therefore also about 8% with my device. I returned the Ikea!

Vindstyrka does not have an attractive price point for being a bulk humidity meter, so I have basically ignored the RH reading. Ikea may have thought the same because the specified RH accuracy for the sensor module is only 6 %RH(!) - the bad RH reading may be caused mostly by the chosen sensor. The impractical 1-degree temperature display resolution is however an oversight because the sensor module reports temperature using 0.005-degree(!) resolution. May be the designer has preferred simple 2-digit display both for T and RH for aesthetic reasons?

I don't think F° has more resolution than C°. I put F° on the display and verified C° via Zigbee. The device thinks in C° and translates in F°. For Instance, you never see 83 F° because the display goes from 82 to 84.

Good observation. I started to wonder why I did not verify this by myself, too, but only speculated about the °F resolution. The SEN54 module itself reports the temperature with 1/200 °C resolution (see sensirion.com/resource/datasheet/sen5x and the code example, which uses %.1f formatting, so there is definitely at least one true decimal available for °C reading).

this video was way to slow, did you slow it down to extend the play length for the KZbin algorithm? This video should have been 5 minutes long maximum

The speed has not been changed, the video is just a splice of three clips as they were recorded by the camera (+fades in/out). My first unboxing attempt was even 1.5 times slower than this second try. After this second attempt, I let it go. 😄- Already now I had difficulties to include all details I wanted to mention in the captions. But, because there is no narration in the clip, viewers are free to choose any playback speed they wish.

You can adjust to your preferred speed. Mine is set to x1.5 because it's a better fit for me. I know others thinks that's too fast.
