Great video, as usual. Might be worth mentioning that the values printed on the counters are accurate out to 5 hexes. Once you get into close action you don’t need to refer to the cards any more. Well thought out detail.

How does it compare to ASL?

It’s 90% of the detail of ASL with 10% of the work. I played ASL almost exclusively when it came out. I chose OST for tactical level WWII instead of relearning ASL.

Same tactical level, but rules overhead is much lower, better art!

It has much better art, is less complicated than ASL starter kits but more dynamic. I play it when I want something faster than ASL but still telling the story. Or if I want to play on winter map, which ASL lacks. If you need details like turning the turret in tank, ASL wins of course.
