Slick stuff there Rick.... I actually have the Numark NS7III with a ProX box and DAMN that thing is heavy as hell! Yet both the NS7iii and Pro X both solid equipment. You wont be disappointed on the Pro X box.

Congrats on your new controller! That thing is a beast! I use the SX2 and I love it! The reason I didn't go with the SZ is because of the size. I'm a club dj and a mobile dj and the SX2 was just the perfect size for my needs. Also, if anyone tells you that you NEED to now switch to Serato, ignore them. They are full of shit, seriously. Lol. I rock VDJ8 on my SX2 and I spin everywhere. It has never stopped me from getting a gig anywhere. I also own Serato. It's a nice program, but it's not better than VDJ8. Don't fall into the hype. Once again, congrats on your awesome purchase!!!

congrats, i use my sz on big shows and my denon mc6000 on smaller events. I am about to pick up the denon mx7000. I like having to usb connections for two laptops. The new denon mx7000 has two usb connections just like my sz but in a smaller size which is the best. Keep em dancing

As a mobile wedding DJ, I bought and tried the DDJ-SZ and only kept it for 2 shows and sold it. As a wedding DJ, we are not doing a music performance and this is really what this unit is for. I also found the Mic preamp and talkover (which is critical for a Wedding DJ) is this really below par. Quality is good on this unit, but too bulky and not a great mobile DJ unit. Pioneer hasn't made a decent mobile DJ mixer since the DJM-5000 and it does not really look like they are interested in mobile market any longer. I hope it works best for you.

yes Rick it's free just go to serato.com and download it in the part of downloads , that is going to ask you to hook up your controller to be identified. it worth it, it's a software with a value of 150 dlls I think, but for that controller it's free.

Great controller! You will LOVE it! I'm looking at that one VS the Numark NS7III. I currently have the original NS7 and it has been a great unit but I would like more of the features that the newer high end controllers have. One thing I'll HIGHLY suggest that you purchase for that SZ is a Decksaver. They aren't cheap, but neither is that controller. Sz2 isn't better in my opinion because it only works with serato. The sz works with all 4 the major softwares

I hope you did not buy this used from the same place it looks like you case came from - AudioSavings.com because they are NOT an authorized Pioneer DJ dealer, so no warranty will be honored by Pioneer. FYI- A brand new DDJ-SZ, sealed from an authorized Pioneer dealer are running about $ 1400. Throw in the free real from Pioneer case (via the rebate) and it is a good deal.
