In this episode, I get a great deal on a SEGA Super Hang On! It's only $150, but I honestly don't know what kind of condition it's in. Let's unbox it and see, did we buy a lemon or strike gold?!?

Super Hang-On is a motorcycle racing arcade game released by Sega, and the sequel to the acclaimed Hang-On. It uses a fully simulated motorcycle arcade cabinet, like the original game. A version of this game, in the full simulated motorcycle cabinet used by the original Hang-On, was released in 1991 as Limited Edition Hang-On.

Love your taste in arcade games, as the classic Sega racers are probably the closest to my heart. On the newer front, have you ever thought about picking up an F355 Challenge? I keep seeing them close to my area on Marketplace for around $2K, they take up a lot of floor real estate as well.

That's an awesome score for only $150, especially since it's a working game! I had one of these a few years ago that I scored for around $400 but it was in great condition, only issue was that the brake didn't work - needed a new potentiometer I think. Anyway, enjoy!

@@RetroRalph I’m looking forward to see the finished Robotron. Wasn’t that another good deal? It’s misleading because even though you might have paid $150 for the cab (you can know the material costs), but since you usually work more than one project at a time it makes the labor costs hard to nail down. It would be fun (not enjoyable) to see you keep a legal style law sheet. I used to have to account for every minute of the day. I remember guys would wait till the end of the week and there was no way they were accurate. If I went to the vending machine if I thought about a case they got billed. The other thing I enjoy no matter what iteration of your show I’m amazed how fast you can diagnose a problem right when you fire up a machine..My dad was a mechanic and as soon as a car drove on the lot he knew what was wrong and how to fix it. Becoming a mechanic was like being an apprentice. How did you pick up all the knowledge? Seems like you start diagnosing the issues right away and at the same time you’re kind of seconding what you’ll do force etc. looking forward to seeing the Robotron video. Always fun

Retrobright! hydrogen peroxide (with UV light) works too but yeah, for something this big, paint is the way to go

Also, if it's super-yellowed, extended durations of hydrogen peroxide brightening will unveil unsightly cast imperfections in the plastic
