I just purchased a blue Protech Malibu in Magnacut. I can't wait to get it in hand. I had a Newport but sold it and have regretted it ever since.

Did your TR-3 have much/any lock stick? (1:50) It sounds as though it had some lock stick? I just received mine today, and the lock stick is pretty bad. Any idea if Pro-Tech button lock knives have some lock stick when new? Will lock stick issues resolve themselves once the action is broken in some? Thanks.

Mine has a little bit, but I found they break in once you use them. I have had a couple of their Malibu's which had heavy stick and some with no stick. I prefer a little bit so it can break in. The one with no stick had to go back for service to Pro-Tech. They do have a great repair/warranty if needed.

Reminds me of a Laconico design (in particular the blade), looks like a great knife. 7:00 oh, that Grip looks really nice in that color scheme and G10. Is that a BM custom shop build? Never held a Protech. Thanks for the video, Zach
