When your not using the sharpener your supposed to flip it 180 degrees so meat don't get stuck on the stones then you flip it when you need it

I like my Beswood 250 slicer for the same reasons mentioned in this video. I like the reliability, durability, quiet motor, and the easy cleaning features. If I get good at baking, I will make homemade hoagie rolls (submarine sandwich bread) and freshly slice some deli meat and cheese with my Beswood 250 slicer, of course. Use both the homemade bread and freshly sliced meat and cheese will produce a super fresh, super tasty sub sandwich right in your own kitchen. I used Tillamook Medium Cheddar cheese and sliced it very thin, and ate one thin slice of this cheese after another since freshly sliced cheese is SO GOOD. Likewise with freshly sliced ham, turkey, pastrami, roast beef, etc. Once again, this slicer performs very well, and is worth every penny! Great video sir.

We've been looking at upgrading from our 60s or 70s chrome and stainless Rival electric food slicer. It gets the job done but it's slow 🐌. Have you tried to shave or chip any meat with it, like shaved ham? I'm wondering how well it slices super thin?

You get what you pay for and the Beswood 250 is a great slicer, works great and is quiet. So it is worth every penny. I had one of those really cheap slicers and didn't like the thing, so I donated it to Goodwill and got my Beswood 250 and set up yesterday. I bought it at a lower price since there were parts missing and I see that they are the hex wrench and oil. So I'm really glad a came across your video. You did a great job of demonstrating your slicer and no guessing games.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review. I am looking to pick one up and was watching reviews to see others opinions on this product. You answered a question I had, but had not received an answer for. I see other videos of folks putting on the bread plate for slicing bread, but then remove it. I was wondering how well it would work with meat and other things sliced while the plate is attached. You did exactly that and it appears to work very well. It probably makes clean up a bit easier as well. Once again thanks much for taking the time to review this product for us.

Hey, I just picked up the same slicer - it's really nice. I wanted to point out that the sharpener can be attached two ways - with the stones in the front for when you are sharpening the blade, and then you pick it up and rotate it so the stones are at the back for slicing stuff. That helps keep the food from getting all gunked up in the sharpening stones. Either way, you should remove the sharpener and clean it when you clean the rest of the slicer, as food can get stuck up there.

Got my answer. There is a screw on the bottom of the peg. I tightened it and no more swiveling.

Question. I just got one, does the sharpener on yours wiggle side to side easily. And does your peg that goes in the holder able to keep spinning around and around? I would have thought it would have been in a fixed position when noticing the slots on the peg.
