I can't wait to try this slicer on my homemade mortadella made with my stainless steel ham press. I just learned how to grind my own ham meat with a Cuisinart mixer attachment. This will complete my ham-making workflow 😁

Just bought one because the cheap ones leave such a mess. It is worth it if you are making your own deli meats. I am very jealous of you for teasing us with Bacon. 😢 Always want to learn how to make bacon the old fashioned way. Great video !!!

Ok...NEVER, EVER, NEVER oil or clean the blade when it is plugged in and really never, ever clean or oil with it running. I have worked in pro kitchens for almost 40 years, i have been cut more times than I can remember but the ones I do remember mostly involved doing what you just did. Be safe.. Thank you sir, yes, I realize how sharp that blade is, now I clean blade and oil with blade fully removed.

So how many cuts do you have so far? This is so unsafe, and unhealthy, there are bits of raw meat all over the guard and inside surface of the blade since you didn't remove it after cutting.

Bits and pieces were removed after all cuttings were done and wiped with luke warm soapy water. Sinice it was our first few cuts, it was not as fast and smooth, but now using it and cleaning it is quite effortless.
