Unboxing & Review of JoyToy x Warhammer 40K Space Wolves Special Character Ragnar Blackmane

I have put this special character review off for far too long so now is the time to review the ever furious Ragnar Blackmane. We will see how JoyToy has translated this epic action figure from the miniature model that he was based off of. As usual we will dive in and take an in-depth look at this action figure in high detail.

The belt is a "Belt of Russ", artifacts created in the wake of Russ's disappearance, in the image of the belt worn by Russ himself, 1 for each great company. They house conversion fields, in addition to looking cool. Frostfang is an example of an ornate type of chainsword unique to the Space Wolves, known as frost blades (because in chapter legend, the finest of them are made from ice harvested from the heart of a glacier, that was tempered in a kraken's belly), in this case one constructed from a rare metal whose secret died with the ancient Wolf Priest who fashioned it (which he has because of his service with the Wolfblade - aka, bodyguards for the navigators of House Belisarius - prior to becoming the Young King and ascending to the rank of Wolf Lord).

I love WH40K so much and willingly spend a crap ton of time to research back stories because I need to be an accurate presenter. Like they say, the devil is in the details. I think that I have said to you before, that my background is a WH40K painter so I do focus in on the smaller details that others may not see/ care about.

I just discovered JoyToy this week, and I’m absolutely hooked. I picked up the Black Templar Brother Lombast as my first figure, and I haven’t put him down since I opened him. These figures are absolutely off the chain. I’m blown away by the quality, the presentation of the the packaging, the nice soft plastic and insane detail. I’m definitely picking up some more, my dream is to have all the Black Templars. Great video! You deserve more views, I definitely will have to get this at some point

Well, thats a lot of detail to review, great job, chapter master Sprues. I dont have this figure yet, i am waiting for the sergeants of the Salamanders and Iron Hands, they too look cool. Thanks for another great review!

One of my favorites. I was just a bit disappointed Frostfang. I feel like they could have put a bit more effort into upscaling it. While I do not mind too much that the sword itself is too big and bulky compared to the original miniature's version, JoyToy's version also sacrificed quite some sharpness / detail when it comes to the sword's hilt and wolf head. But that's just nitpicking. I definitely do not regret this purchase. (Also I was lucky enough to get a Ragnar, who is not cross-eyed. 😃)

Yeah this beast ranks as top 3 Space Marine action figures for me. It's okay to nitpick. We all have a tendency to do that but my old videos did that to excess lol.

This was the first joytoy figure I brought, not disappointed at all, an amazing figure. Have you seen the Bjorn the Fellhanded figure? They’re the reason I’m collecting the space wolf figures.

Nice vid. Today picked it up as well. Awesome figure, but first was wondering about hands hole size, needed use hair dryer to make it bigger. Nevertheless it's cool figure, love it.

Lol, a hair dryer (or hot water) is going to become your best friend in some instances to get things to fit. Trust me when I say that I use them both a lot more since I picked up these action figures.

Welcome aboard on spending more money on top of an already expensive hobby lol! The way I see things, WH40K makes a ton of $$$ for JT and GW. As Abaddon is a very prominent figure, I would see no reason as to why JT will not produce a character like that

I have done a few Chaos review videos specifically a terminator, regular marine, and one with a lascannon. Although my review style back then was a bit too harsh/ critical that some people found too abrasive.

@@michaelfranzgarcia7769 dude, what are you talking about? This figure is smaller than average dick size... And according to this, paint work at figure is awesome, actually whole figure's details freaking cool. And it's cost like a lunch in restaurant, I mean it's pretty cheap.
