Unboxing review of the new CASIO G-SHOCK GA-B2100C-9AER the solar octagonal watch of the year!!

Nice review of a really cool watch! As a mechanical watch guy, I have been drawn in to this new model G-Shock!! Lol! Really didn't think that would happen! I've ordered this very model (!! Yellow !!) and it will be arriving on Monday. At 68 years old, I'm super excited! 🍻👍

What a stunning fun summer watch! Waiting for mine to arrive soon. On a sidenote, the black and this yellow version have a positive lcd display for better legibility.

I got mine on Wednesday, my first G-Shock also in 🍌 yellow. It is beautiful to look at and works really well with the app. Very happy with it.

Damn you and your channel. As a g-shock email subscriber I had signed up to be notified when this model went on prerelease sale. I decided I couldn’t justify buying another watch. Then I watched this review. Then got an email from Casio today to say they had another 200 of these in stock. Then I bought one

@@thetimebombardier I was thinking a while ago of buying the non Bluetooth/non solar version in yellow but it looks more like butterscotch. This one looks much brighter and I justified it to myself because it’s got tough solar so I won’t have to fork out for a battery every few years 😂. And black/yellow is a favoured colour combo of mine

@@thetimebombardier well I’ve got it. After working out which one of the myriad Casio apps you actually need to sync it with a phone it’s all set up. Very pleased with it. Colour is much better in person. Perfect size. Excellent backlight. Great watch.

There are only yellow and black with positive display in this series. I really don't like negative display. I hope they'll release more colors with positive display soon.

This is a totally new watch. I wouldn't buy a Casio Oak without solar and Bluetooth/multi band 6. There are a lot of us who have these as necessary features. A G-Shock needs to be fully auto pilot IMO. I love this new version and have bought one. This is a great upgrade and well priced for that upgrade. I don't buy hugely expensive metal GShocks either as that defeats the purpose of the whole concept.

Who f@cks Bluetooth, this is Solar!!! And banana (colour but wtf[un!])!!! And no nonsense sub dial (showing usefull things...). Only minus (please confirm) yellow looks bit washed out, not "yolk-y" enough. Btw, won't give a fock what other say/think i like it, a lot! Happy summer Duncan... Nice one for the season mate! PS Honestly it's the very first time i'm thinking getting a G-Shock, ever...
