10:26 It's not a cross-over, it's a dual 4-ohm voice coil subwoofer. it's already internally wired in series or parreall. by the flip of that (for lack of a better word) switch. it's a convenience feature. that advice from you sound guy just gave you a bunch of irrelevant information. the 8 ohms is just a way for you to wire up more subs to the amp before going below it's recommended minimum impedance load. if you only want 2 subs, switch them to 2 ohms settings and wire them up in parallel for 1 ohms. BD1500 will be a good fit. wire them to 8 ohms, you can parallel 8 of them to achieve 1 ohm. would be a good match for a 5-8k amp at 1ohms.

Nice subs should be alot of fun listening . I always lile rockford. Back when i was alot younger i had a pair of entry level 4 ohm version they lasted years, then i sold them. I also had mine in a sral box they hit hard an low. Good luck man. Thanks for sharring!

The question is where did you find T 0s? They had discontinued the 0s back when I was running Rockford! I purchased 1 on clearance and couldn't find another one online nowhere back then!

Thats a great box for being tuned at 44 htz inhave same one but extended my slot ports thats behind each sub and made the tunning lower to 34 htz and i pit a double baffle on the front of mine and gorilla glued all inside seams and lined the entrire inside with dyno mat like material and it made a 3 db louder difference buy making the box more dense cause mine would flex with my 2 12 audiopipe quad stacks on 3800 rms this box is not intended for very high wattage since the mdf is rather thin. But all in all its a decent box in size i think the port is entirely too big for thise fosgates and they will most likely bottom out easy if u open ur car door while playing the music loud and sometimes even rolling 1 windown down all the way ur subs might bittom out I had like 7!sets of subs in that box to test and the skar vxf did well power acoustic mofo did well subs that did not well at all was skar evl ct sounds tropo kicker cvx also thr wlldse hcy did really good so did the sundown u and sundown sa also did very well

@@jaysautoandmore1771 that's very low power each sub might see 200 RMS after impedance rise. I believe 3k RMS is recommended for these combined

​@@joshholden8561they're around 700 rms each, and they're not very under rated. They don't have the motor to support much more than 900 watts in all honesty. They're geared towards sound quality.. comparable to a W6. They are good subs though, just pricey.

I dont understand the holes in the cone, wouldn't that effect the sound quality and pressure for the bass effect?

No it does not. Holes are for cooling the voice coil. Many speakers have holes in the cone. Common knowledge

NEVER would i pay that much for some 700W RMS subs they are just a expensive name these days companies like Sundown, American Bass, and other blow them out the water as far as getting the most bang for your buck plus their Warrenty guidelines aren't as shifty as RF's are

Reason why I stopped buying RF, overpriced for what you get. Back in the day their amps doing 500 rms were over $800, competitors were like half. Now down for sound has amps that do over 5k rms for under $800. Korean boards too.

U can modify tunning on prefab boxes like on a slot port make the slot longer or a round port make the port longer for lower running and make sure ur port has enough surface area

@isaiahparker7433 oh I'm sure, heard a zkar audio system some kid had with a 32hz box and it sounded amazing, however. I like my trunk space. Lol I found that putting the box all the way to the back of my trunk makes my lows even richer. Having my port facing forwards it sounds almost like it my trunk is working as a 6th order. Lol idk if that makes sense. But the way the hole to my trunk is from the cabin, the bottom area is like 3-4 inches deep, so I want to make some kind of makeshift port that just let's airflow better because behind the seats right below the rear deck it's nothing but flat area, so I know that affects airflow out of my trunk.

LOL... Ya would think that EVERYBODY knew that "ROCKFORD FOSGATE" is one of the TOP BIG PLAYERS in the aftermarket CAR AUDIO game... A Buddy of mine wanted to put some bump in his ride, so I said that I would give him one of my amps. (RF PUNCH) He just tossed it in his trunk and never even bothered hooking it up. So I got it back, and left him alone to his pipe dreams, and distorted blown half azz factory speakers... Basically he thought that since I had given it to him for FREE that it's gotta be just some NO NAME CHEAPO JUNK... SMH, WELL, I tried, some people are just stuck on stupid and can't be helped. A sad truth, but It's just the way it is... But he'll be alright because his Momma says that happiness comes from magic rays of sunshine that come down when ya feelin' blue... 🤽‍♂️
