PCGoglin strikes again! Nice one man...the Engenius stuff DOES look good. If I wasnt' so invested in Ubiquiti, I might consider migrating. Keep up coming...btw...you broke your streak of saying "Vespula" :)

Is the EAP1300 better than this one by $20? Or save the $20 and get the 1250? I’ve been debating on getting the Google home internet. Would you pick this over that?

Id get which ever is cheaper I was wondering the same thing because I cant see a difference. Id say whichever is cheaper. I would pick this over google home internet for sure.

Thanks, I almost lost a client due to Ubiquiti AP, and everytime other clients I used Ubiquiti, it just never worked right, slow performance always. Engenius is the way.

Thanks for the video. I am try to decide between engenius and grandstream APs. Want purely local control/setup. The Unifi brand has too manty faults and bugs, can't trust it at all and working hard at removing it from my place. It is a shame as it use to work fairly well.

I hear ya. I almost swapped all my stuff with engenius from unifi, but for the last year or so its been pretty stable and good. Im gunna have to check out grandstream now, ive never heard of em.

@@PCGoblin GrandStream started in the Telephoney market and are quite good. My friend and I have had growing issues over the last 2 months. Plenty of people are really upset with the bugs and the direction they are taking with the unifi line. I can't afford the headaches and time wasted with the unifi products. I had it for only a year and it was really good in the beginning, but has been going down hill quickly. My friend is having issues with DHCP and there is a huge issue with this in the forums and it has been going on for at least a couple of years. They want us to get a cloud account to use the CloudKey Gen2 with the latest firmware. Refuse to get/use a cloud account and more so after they had a huge breach.

@@andymok7945 Completely understandable. I wasnt meaning not to, just that when I was putting effort in to switching, things started working and ive been busy with other things But all good stuff. I wasnt aware they were breached.

I only have the unifi accespoint and when It dies I will be moving to that one. My router and switch still Ubiquiti, but is the cheaper edgamax versions. I am not that technical but not knowing what I did I made the accespoint work.

Id bet that the unifi AP lasts a very long time and by that time there will be something newer and better than this. :)

did a firmware update on my device and it bricked it downloaded the firmware installed it and it rebooted the only light that came back on is the power light tried pressing and holding the reset button same thing what gives? it had no issues prior to this

Thats very odd, are you able to directly connect to it at all? This would be a great thing to reach out to engenius for as Ive never come across that issue. :)

@@PCGoblin no it doesn’t broadcast ssid can’t connect via GUI either all I did was update the firmware it counted down from like 600 and rebooted
