Unboxing & Setup: Microsoft Xbox Series X 1TB

So a new generation of gaming consoles is upon us, and I decided to get them, the first one being the Xbox Series X. This is replacing my aging Xbox One which I purchased over 5 years ago now and have been using ever since.
I decided to get the Xbox Series X first as the Xbox is my primary platform for console gaming, since I'm not that interested in the launch exclusives for the PS5 as well as I prefer Xbox controllers, especially since they've come out with the Elite controllers. Despite not having a 4K TV right now, I decided on the Xbox Series X over the Xbox Series S due to the Series X coming with an optical drive as I prefer physical games, as well as for better visuals & frame rates once I do upgrade to a 4K & HDR capable TV.
My most popular video ever made on this channel was my original Xbox One Unboxing & Setup video from 2015 which has surpassed over a million views! My content has improved a lot since those days, and my channel has grown substantially. Thanks to everyone who has watched that original video and my content since then. Let's hope this video can follow in that success.

This was the best series x unboxing video I’ve seen it reminds me of how excited I was when I got mine on launch day luckily by camping outside of GameStop when there was only 3 in stock, I went from a One X to a Series X and it felt like an amazing upgrade, I can’t imagine how it feels to go from an OG Xbox One to the series X also I highly recommend a 27 inch 1440p @ 144hz monitor instead of a tv, you won’t be missing out on the 4K much cuz of the size and 2K resolution is way nicer than 1080 and you’ll get a really low input lag compared to a tv

To be fair, the Xbox one’s UI was not the same to the 360, it just had a similar layout cuz of the squares but it was brand new BUT Xbox does change their UI multiple times throughout a generation so I’m sure series X will have a brand new UI in about a year or so

Great video man, I too was a PC gamer during PS3/Xbox 360 era, when you are young and particularly not working 8 hours a day, you actually kinda enjoy building your own rig, upgrading it and all the hassles that came with it. When I was a PC gamer, consoles felt a bit inferior plus the idea of aiming with a stick not a mouse always felt like foreign concept to me. But as a working adult, I just admire the plug and play convenience of a console. I think consoles have came a long way, I am having great time with my PS5, load times are insanely fast and games look amazing.

I liked the PS3/360 era, I owned a PS3 and especially in the early days I didn't have PC hardware that could keep up since it seemed to progress way quicker back then, wasn't until 2008 when I got a PC laptop that had a decent graphics card. However during the PS4/Xbone generation the consoles were on-par with a relatively affordable mid-range PC which made them feel mediocre and slow, honestly the media stuff in the Xbox One is what made me keep some interest in it since I was always a media center PC guy too and Microsoft was killing Windows Media Center at the time so it was a logical replacement, but the PS4 offered no value for me tbh. I had one but hardly used it. Now with the current PS5/Series X gen, PC hardware is absurdly expensive for the higher end stuff, which you don't need obviously but considering the current gen consoles are on par with the upper end of PC hardware (similar to how the 7th gen was) rather than the low end like the 8th gen was, and they're still pretty affordable compared to a PC of similar specs, it just makes much more sense to get a PS5 or Series X.

and i got my PS5 for Christmas thanks to my mom brought me one since i'm not working due to the Covid i decided to stay home but my mom works though at least i have a place to stay if it wasn't for her working and it was the last one too and i got darn lucky that i got my PS5 and i'm am thrill that i got one since i been wanted one since the PS5 plays 4K movies and not the PS4 Pro which it a step up for Sony to have that in the PS5 console at least Sony is stepping up their games and the DualSense controller looks like a Xbox controller now since it has a better grip to it and it bigger than the previous DualShock controllers and this is the best Console that Sony and Microsoft did by far the best console than the previous consoles

Nice unboxing video, I watched this because I was curious about the Xbox Series X and I want to see what’s inside the box even though I’m getting a PS5. But to be honest, the Xbox Series X wrapping is better than the PS5. At least on the Xbox Series X, they used ‘foams’ while the PS5, they only used very thin paper, like the quality of paper they use to wrap shoes when you buy a new one. Like, why not make it at least ‘Bubble Wraps’!!??

I think the reason they made the power button by sensor on the last one was because on the orignal xbox 360 the power button would break easy and come off alot. But now yeah it's button again but they way the outside design looks, its not some cheaply button design.

Yes, the Xbox Series X will work on any display with an HDMI input, however the fancy options get disabled if the display can’t handle them.

My Dualshock 4 Controller is also pretty squeaky ngl...probably cause i've dropped it multiple times... Thanks to quick resume,GTA 5 won't take a billion years to load anymore Also,you can somehow play PS2 game on the new Xbox consoles via developer mode I'd really like to get a next gen console but all i use my current one for is watching KZbin,so i feel like i'd be wasting space and just be purchasing it to flex lol

The DualShock 4 is pretty appalling in terms of quality. It’s not a bad controller, certainly much better than the PS3 controller, but I have two of them and they feel super flimsy compared to even the OG Xbone & even the 360 controllers. I do hope the PS5 is better in that respect. lol I mean GTA Online will still be slow as fuck, single player would be pretty fast though. Also yeah I’ve heard about the emulation on the Series S & X. I saw MVG’s video on it and it was pretty cool and also kinda sad since Sony doesn’t even support PS1/2 emulation on their own console but an Xbox can do it lol. I’d wait until all the scalping and supply issues are sorted before buying one at this point. Besides, if you own a One X or PS4 Pro those systems are still reasonable so the jump to 9th gen won’t be as big

Playstation is definitely not better. Although hardware wise, it's literally the same silicon as the Xbox, the UI, services, software is way better on Xbox. Especially the most important feature: playing your Xbox library on any platform. I dont even need a console to play Xbox, I can play on my phone, on my TV screen, on my PC, on my Steam Deck.
