Awesome video. I learned more watching your video than any of DJI's videos. I am having a problem calibrating my RC. When I plug it into my computer to calibrate it the calibration does not move any of the gauges on the screen. I have I done something wrong ? I downloaded the PT2 program but nothing seems to be talking to each other from the computer to the RC. Thanks again for the awesome work.

Glad you like it. Most problems people will have is usually due to the environment the Phantom is being flown in so keep away from houses, power lines, transmitter masts anything that could give off any kind of interference. Its also a good idea to learn to fly in Attitude mode as this doesn't rely on the GPS sensor and let likely to have a conflict of info between it and the compass. Periodically connect your phantom to your PC and check settittngs in the Assistant software, especially the compass values. My Assistant software video cover this.

Great Video and very informative! I purchased one and am loving it. I also purchased the DJI 2.4G Bluetooth Data link as I would also like to use the ground station for iPad. Please could you do another "unboxing and setup" to show how to install / modify the P2V+ to accommodate the "air end" of the Data link. Its out of my league and I'm sure you will do it best.

The issue is the P2V+ doesn't have a Canbus connection. Also any mods is going to void your warranty, DJI are very touchy about mods. I've fitted many to P2s. DJI will release an upgrade to the App to give you way points. It won't be as full on as Ground station but will be free.

Recognition of model's orientation in flight is improved if you use standard aviation colour coding...change the 2 red vinyl strips on the right arm, looking at model from behind, for green ones. This conforms to the aviation coding eg. Green equals right, Red equals left.

Another great video. I am watching them all trying to figure out how to get mine into the air. No go, no flight, no calibration, no connection to the remote via usb. What I do have are some green lights on the remote and flashing yellow lights on the phantom. Camera works, gimbal too, connection to the app works, that is it. Just no flight.

A few feet from speakers and PC is fine. I use a USB extension lead so it's in the middle of our workshop. You'll know if it's close to anything as your compass value will go crazy.

I'm somewhat confused - you say that S2 in the up-most position is the orientation control switch and no matter which way you're pointing if you pull the switch down it will fly toward you etc. but other vids say that it will move in the direction it is pointing. Which is correct please?

Yes you need the driver installed but you only need it once for all DJI softwares.

In the settings you can reduce the streaming quality to reduce the lag.

when calibrating the compass, first turn on level axis 360 turns green- turning the phantom 2 + 360 degrees with nose down, it turns lights solid red- only options mentioned in manual are if green good,or if red yellow blinking, start over. I'm stumped- what is wrong?

This sometimes happens when the transmitter isn't calibrated. Calibrate in rc assistant and then again in phantom assistant.

If your phone has no service or is not in service with a carrier will it still be able to work, like say an IPod were to be used, instead of an IPhone, with no internet connection of any sort besides connecting to the Drone, could you still fly safely?
