just so you know 650ib, those comments you get from people about them having higher octane rating and what-not are usually not accounting for the RON measurement system against what we use in the states R+M/2. 93 octane rating here in the U.S. is equivalent to 98 RON (Euro measurement), and in actuality with ethanol contents being significantly lower in Europe than in the U.S. you will find that a 93 octane rating fuel here in the U.S. could even squeek up to the equivalent of a 100 RON rating.

Just think that this exact model in slightly modified superstock trim now holds the IOMTT lap record @136+ mph. The full fat superbike did a 135mph lap,not sure if Hickman had any reserve on the superbike but didn't need it,anyway the M1000rr is a beast.

Regarding fuel octane, other countries just have different method or system of rating, it may appear higher in other countries but they are actually essentially the same. In our country we use RON while US uses AKI rating.

IB, there are gas stations in most every state that sell race fuel from the pump. Usually SUNOCO. They often go up to, and even beyond 100 octane. FYI. You can go there with a large drum barrel and fill up!

Octane number in USA is described in Pump Octane number which is lower than Research Octane number in other countries... So theoretically 93 Pump Octane = 100 Research Octane 93 PON = 100 RON
