@@Motomillion I got 2 r1's lil bro. Also purchased the Rizoma's because they're the best looking mirrors, no contest. Visibility is trash with them. Ended up putting stock ones back for the street. Edit: FastlaneD got bigger shoulders than you and switched his back from the Rizoma too for visibility. Say they're the best looking mirrors on the market, it's more believable.

For most applications, shorter velocity stacks help at higher RPM, not long ones. Long velocity stacks help with torque at lower RPM.

The Akrapovic Evolution system sounds phenomenal and that belly pan looks so trick, but the wide bars make it look like a stunt bike. Edit : Awesome video and R1M. Those rims! 😍

@Virvum_Juggernaut Жыл бұрын
@@Motomillion I know they do. Superbikes are losing their aesthetics and don’t get me started on how pig-ugly MotoGP bikes are today. Edit : I realise why you’ve done it, it’s just my personal taste. Yours is the slickest upgrade I have ever seen done. You certainly know what you’re doing. Best looking street R1M I’ve ever seen.
@董家琪 Жыл бұрын
I get where you're coming from but honestly I love the wide bars on my s1000rr. And as much as I love the look of a R1M the riding geometry was what put me off getting this bike over the BMW. I commute on my bike and comfort is a big factor for me.
@Virvum_Juggernaut Жыл бұрын
@@董家琪 Fair enough. I know that aggressive riding positions can become taxing on the body over distances and the extra width can help with that too. Edit : I have a CBR1000RR-R, but will do any long commuting in my cars.

Beautiful build! Fwiw that's not how velocity stacks work. Intake runner length only moves the power curve, it's not some bolt on power adder. For 99.9% of R1 owners these are not helpful since you're stealing power from other parts of the curve making it a slower, less responsive bike for the majority of riders. The only time this would be helpful is if you're specifically targeting a certain rpm to make power, for race guys that's all the way at the top. Even for the top end guys you're giving up more on the bottom to make maybe 2-3hp more on top which isn't enough to notice. Last tip race fuel doesn't increase power, unless your build and tuner requires it. Enough with the "i'm not on race fuel" everyone 🤦♂️ Beautiful build, much respect on that and thanks for the video! I'm just sharing some tips that may help someone looking into R1 mods.

for your information the velocity stacks work not like you mentioned. If the engine rpm is low the stacks are close to the throttle body so the inlet way is becoming longer which creates more torque. If the engine rpm is high they move away from the throttle body to shorten the inlet way which supports higher rpm better. Because the WSBK engine is built for higher rpm (has other camshafts) - which creates less torque in the lower range than the normal one - they had to make longer stacks to increase the torque in the lower rpm range as much as possible.
@Motomillion Жыл бұрын
Yes, had it backwards. Longer the stack faster the velocity of air.
@vogtlandheli Жыл бұрын
@Motomillion The air is always the same speed, but the length of the path into the engine changes, that's what matters here. (Different rpm create different frequencies so you need different length of the intake to support the sucking in of the air). High reving engines need short ways into the engine and low reving engines long ways.
