Can't wait to see your first run of this. Team Associated has been falling back on a few of their releases. I remember this format for the unboxings. I like the raw and unnatural format but something about those rolling close ups I love.

Looks cool, i have a losi mini 8t 1/14 scale wich i bought years ago, obviously a truggy not at mt and a lot of alloy out of the box. Can't wait to see how it runs

Knew you would like the suspension and tires 👍 It’s a great little truck. The spur gear is the weak point for me. Hard to get the mesh right and I have gone through a couple spur gears.

Yep not a bad looking truck . I believe it will drive better out of the box better than cheaper trucks in this size class . I think the investment has been put in to the setup, and not necessarily the bling factor. Durable? . I’m sure we will see in the in the run videos . I suspect due to being a light weight it will survive a few nocks. Raw version of unboxing ( Dog intervention) not a problem. Great video Vas . 👍

Picked one up about a year ago. I have beat the crap out of it. Cart wheeled it, lawn darted it umon other crashes and keeps going with only a spur going out. Parts are kind of an issue. Think it was a 12(maybe a 14) tooth pinion that is installed but they only list a 16 tooth replacement.

Vass good to see and hear from you bud, got a question for everyone though, I seen a small truck about this size, that's mostly plastic a few aluminum bits like dif bar's, akermin I believe is the proper name, anyways my question is with a 90 some percent composite RC but has a aluminum Tower to tower brace, it seems that would be a break point, seeing how plastic flexes, and aluminum bends, am I wrong on this track of thought, seems like it did okay, but I just can't get over this miss match of material????

I own the 4500KV Reflex 14. It's a decent little truck. Looks wise, IMO, it has its competition beat. Handling is at least average. Durability, well, that is tricky. The stuff that makes it "work" is fine, but the "niceties" are a let down. For instance, those LEDs that were brought up in the video. They pop out of you sneeze on them. Joking aside, on my first run, my daughter flipped it over and the front LEDs popped right out. This wouldn't bother me, except that it flipped only because the grass was a little too high. She didn't hit anything. The car flupped on SOFT grass, and the LEDs popped out. As much fun as the Reflex is, its overpriced.

A dot of glue on the LEDs will solve that issue. Mine has been a tank.

@Mikey.750 I get that, Mike. I guess my point is, at its price point, we shouldn't need to take that particular action. Also, at that price point, it should have all metal gears. My justification for that is that its competition in the 14th scale space DOES come with metal gears and at a significantly lower price. I like the Reflex. I do. But it is unquestionably a cash grab by Team Associated. The profit margins on that particular model has got to be gigantic.

Hmmm. , An odd truck, and I thought it was 3s.? I've not watched anything on this, I saw it was released but forgot about it. And yep, I've been here since "The HobbyKing Days" so recall the traditional unboxings. I still have my HK rcs, including the very temperamental 8th rally car and the mini Nitro Circus truck.

I think I've seen someone run it on 3S, but can't recall if they upgraded anything on it. Running videos will be out soon. Thanks heaps for the long time support, really appreciate it. I did hold onto my rally car from HK for many years, but did end up selling it as I just didn't have the room to hold on to it. Unfortunately, I've had to sell or give away a number of cars over the years that I just couldn't keep due to space. Glad to hear you still have yours though. 😊

Ya have to change the esc , shame because it’s identical to the 3s 30 amp guy for 25 bucks or so . I put these into the mini T since it’s only 2s

Other pita is servo specifically sized , like 40 bucks 60 with the savor . Pay almost half cost car for that so i bought whole another reflex on sale 😂 . I have bite the bullet it is my favorite mini , just rather find a better solution. I know guys race do have a remedy, I just don’t know what

It’s good I have the truggy and buggy , just didn’t like the 2s rebrand HW esc . Why couldn’t make it 3s . Than radio to big , motor little small . So I did all these things didn’t cost much but still 300 total . It is better than all these new minis still “ although mjx rally for 140 really impressive having gyro and 3s with thst little bigger motor .

You do feel the TA DNA 🧬 compared to all the other minis . Just shame they make them for beginners having battery charger ect instead of sealed diffs

I dont really like this scale. There have been loads of trucks come out in the scale over past year or so, but they just arent interesting at all. They never run well enough off road outside unless you have really flat dirt or golf course grade grass. I find 1/10 monster trucks and 1/8th buggies to be the best between being big enough to handle terrain and grass while still being small enough to take everywhere in a bag. 1/8 truggies and trucks are my favourite to drive off road, but they are a pain to cart around, the batteries start to add up in costs with 6s and the parts get expensive.
