Had mine delivered today although noticed next to the temp gauge there is a chip around 5mm which has been glued back, you could pick at it and remove it if you wanted so worried over the years + with the heat this will get worse. Also noticed the glasing on the lid has minute cracks all around (can only see them with a torch & close up). Aldi have said they will knock £90 off or replace. What would you do?

Difficult one. I think realistically if you are going to use it a lot, the paint is going to deteriorate and that's a bit of a badge of honour. The question is, if you saw your one advertised as a second with the damage you describe with £90, would you buy it?
