How’s the 1.625 nut width feel for open chords? Silver Sky has this too but it widens immediately at fret 2 and felt great. It’s impossible to find one of these to test out.

That's one cool guitar. I just bought myself my first USA made telecaster which is the American Performer in sonic blue. It took me over thirty years. As an English guy there is some sort of mystique about owning an American made guitar. I get a rush just looking at the thing.

thanks for the post. Just one correction though: Bstring is changed by stinging through the bending "widget' on the bridge from the top side of the guitar. Otherwise super cool, thanks again. I have one those tele's and its super fun and overall a versatile and awesome guitar.

Sounds accurate! I have seen and played Brent’s guitar. Unique! This should make Brent happy as he retired the original awhile back. Had been using a Mexican Fender ‘50’s reissue for a time.

BRENT MASON OFFICIAL You had at the Guitarmaggedon at DC’s in 2014. I had you sign my yellow Tele and you let me check out your stuff just a riff on it. That and your signature PRS. I did mean retired from the road since you didn’t have it with you in 2017. You sound great no matter WHAT you play! Like my blonde Tele certain guitars just work for us. No matter what I play and love, my Tele feels like jumping in a pool of warm water! Same for everyone probably!

I know you have had other signature models with other makers but Its long over do that you got a Fender artist model and I can't think of anyone more deserving. Cool guitar. The b string actually goes right into the saddle, though. The thing by your strap button is used to adjust the tension on the bender. You just stick a philips screw driver in there, and either tighten, or loosen it, depending on how much force you want to use to activate the bender...

What a player you are. That was really 1st class. And the tone if that guitar is a thatl you would want from a tele. I don't know how much of that perfect tone is you and how much is down to the guitar. But you two are a perfect match. I have been playing a tele longer than you have been alive, and I couldn't play like you just did. I hope you and that guitar have a long and happy marriage..

Daniel. Did the mason tele you gorbhave microphonic sounds? I just got one. When I tap on any part of the body I can hear it through the amp. Loud. Same when I do the pickup switches. Just wondering if this is normal for this tele. My others don’t do this. Thanks. Greg

What’s up Daniel! Hey my name is Johnny and I’m a guitar picker in Austin. For a number of years now I’ve been on a roller coaster ride trying to figure out what the hell I’m supposed to be doing! The Glaser unit is more discrete. Mostly it's a channel from the neck pocket to the butt. You don't actually see much of the mechanism.

Hey Daniel, love the review you clearly know how to get the best out of a Tele. I have a question as I have the same guitar but am having problems setting it up. The "B" string comes over the bender cam about 1/32" higher than the "G" next to it, but when I wind out the "B" side bridge pin on the double saddle it won't go down. So my "B" string is permenantly 1/32" higher then the "G" and "E" either side. Possibly not much when the action is set around 3/32", but is yours the same?
