I have one of these. Been playing since 1962 and have owned and played a lot of Fenders. This is by far the finest Fender I have played. Not just the bender and the pickup wizardry, but the neck shape (maple cap neck because it's a 67), heavy ash body (mine is over 9lbs) and just the overall feel of the guitar. I won't be needing any other Telecasters.

Another one to the list of big Nashville session cats is JT Corenflos. His guitar even had a very similar pickup setup to Brent’s

Good review Rich like you I’ve been a fan of Brent Mason since i first heard him play on CMT back in the 1990s i had a tele custom made in 1997 by a very good luthier here in Adelaide South Australia which was modelled loosely on the pick up configuration of that guitar and it’s been pretty much my main guitar ever since , the mini humbucker is just the best sounding thing ever i use it 90% of the time because of its rich warm yet not flubby sound and when you add a little grit to it it just sings plus i run a Kinman strat pick up in the middle which when i blend it in it becomes a strat with balls which in my opinion makes it a very versatile guitar the back pick up i have is a dimarzio stacked humbucker and again awesome pickup and blend-able with the Kinman thanks for your review just a reminder to all it’s not what you play on it’s just that you keep playing ,guitars are the tool you are the player .

Some nice chops again Rich. Nice sounding guitar but a touch expensive.

I'm tempted to ship one of my Teles to Joe Glazer for a bbender install. Might be cheaper. 🤣

Surprise's me sometimes how some small changes to a fairly standard guitar can increase the price so much. Guess there is some mark up for artist endorsement.

So I want to be able to play these county licks but I also don’t want to spend 3,000 dollars. Is there any recommendations for a guitar that I can get those country sounds?
@RichBischoff

Get the Brad Paisley signature Tele, no b bender, but you don't need a b bender to sound country.

Great licks, I appreciate the video! I have a 2014 Brent Mason tele, and the push/pull knob is actually in the middle. A printout I got with it says the far right knob is for tone, but all 3 of mine seem to adjust volume. Any thoughts?

2014? is it a fender? I thought this was the only line fender made for Brent Mason. They started it about 4 or 5 years ago. i thought

As always,you sound great ! I always thought a mini humbucker in the neck ,would better than a Lipstick.Bought a Michael Kelly 55 Custom Collection with a mini ,in the neck and a full humbucker in Bridge.Has coil splitting on both pups! 8 pickup sounds .Please check one out ,if ya get the chance.Affordible ,and pretty cool !

I was wondering if fender made the mini HB or if it is sourced from another maker? I would like to buy a couple of those mini's.
