The sound difference is like night and day. What a difference! Plus, the thermostat is a great perk. Boxes and cats? I currently have a box sitting on the floor in the livingroom for no other purpose than to give Bella, our kitty, a place to "sit", which she really enjoys. 😊

I also have the standup bodega fridge/ freezer and that sux. The company replaced 2 and refunded my money on both because the standup fridges stopped working within a week or so. Those are horrible. But the chest style is great. Been using it a couple years. Customer service is really good if you have any issues.

I love catching up on your videos on Sundays when I finally sit down from the week and have lunch on the couch with my iPad. It's like catching up with a friend. Choosing such gadgets to be prepared for emergency situations is great. Just don't make me buy a cooler too now, lol. I've been researching the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp - mostly for weeklong camping trips over the summer (Jasper and Waterton planned this summer), but also as a backup for home should we ever be without power. Even living downtown and not going full-on-prepper, between camp stoves, Coleman lanterns, the Bluetti, heated blanket, etc., I feel I could manage for some days just fine, even in winter. Next up I'm looking for a 10-15L water storage container with tap.

Oh heck yeah! Can't wait for more vanny adventures. Actually, for summer 2025 my BFF are planning to celebrate my recovery from a second foot surgery with some outdoor traveling and Vancouver Island is on our list of potential destinations. I've already started starring all the yummy vegan places but I was wondering if you've ventured as far as Uclulet--or further--or if you're planning on it this year. I'd love to see that side of the island, along with a visit to our friends in Parksville 😁 and if we can plan right, maybe even poke around Whistler/mainland hiking.

I've been shopping for fridge/freezers too. Do you think this one would hold 2 one gallon jugs of water? My plan is to use it in freezer mode, freeze jugs of water to cool a cooler 'fridge'. And then use the extra room for frozen items. I'd rotate 4 jugs of water, always having 2 frozen and 2 in the fridge plus the bonus of 4 extra gallons of water should I ever need it.

You will be surprised to know that your 600 watt unit will run your Bodega Fridge for about 48 hours give or take a few hours depending on ambient temperature. I use a Jackery 500 for a 45 liter fridge the dometic and in triple digit temps here in Texas I get close to 40 hours and in cooler temps in fall and winter I get 48 hours. Let us know how you like your Vitoman 1500. You know you could use it to charge your 600 watt unit on a cloudy day if your solar panels are not working.
