Thanks for sharing Adelina. It's perfectly normal for you to be sad and cry, to be hurt, disappointed and all those things. Grief is a natural process. I hope that by you sharing with us that that will help you just a little bit at least. Knowing you took that step and that you no longer have to dread it! I think that Sophie's actions just prove that she knows that you are hurting. Take the time that you need to process his passing. We are here waiting and ready for you to come back on a regular when it's good for you. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend btw. I am praying for you and his family too. 🙏🥰

Good idea. I also saw a guy run a chain run through one front door handle through to the other door handle and attached in the middle by a carabiner, in a loop between the doors so nobody on the outside could open either door..easy peasey.

I would think obvious secondary locks would attract people because they would think you have something worthwhile to steal. Whatever the case, good idea to secure yourself the best you can and keep your key in the ignition, in case of a rush leave. But hopefully none of that is ever needed. Good job with the extra security.

Do you have an air horn or some other loud objects? If someone is trying to get in, some loud noises might scare them away. Keep doing what you do Adelina! We need you around.

Hotel locks for sliding door. I'm not sure the name but it's the U shaped that's sideways on the wall that goes over the ball that's on the door. That's the one I've seen on a couple of van's slider door . You should check it out. I guess that's what I'd use if I had a van

Not to be a Debbie downer but I know someone who’s van got broken into and (she had an outside lock on her slider) he got caught. But here’s the kicker. When he was asked why her van out of the 3 vans parked there he said if it’s got all that extra security there must be something very valuable inside. Something to think about when you decide what kind of lock you pick. Oh and he broke in the back doors so she now has a security lock on them. Still looking for an inside lock for sliders.

I wonder if you continue to open and close the door (not just shake it) from the outside if the pin would eventually slip (pop) off? I ask because it seemed fine when you were shaking it back and forth but when you actually closed the door (12:03 mark) - i thought it looked as tho it could pop off. A carabiner will probably be much better.
