I used your removeable aft ring trick, glued the forward ring first, let it dry, then spread glue for the middle ring and installed it, then the fins with internal fillets, then an aft rail button and finally the aft ring. I use this trick all the time. You don’t shove two rings through one aft glue line. And you get those internal fillets. I actually fillet the fins internally to the body tube as well as the engine tube. It’s a great method, glad you showed it on the Zephyr instructional.

The wooden rings are an upgrade. I used this kit for my level-one certification. I remember the motor rings because I used your Zephyr build video as a guide. I used your method to attach the parachute using epoxy clay and attached the Kevlar cord to the motor ring. I then tied the Estes shock cord to the Kevlar cord. It held up great using an H135w-4s Aerotech motor. The only bad part was recovery of 3/4 of a mile walk each way through a ditch. Using high-powered in it, the plastic fins flap and lose paint. They hold up, but the vibration takes its toll.

Pointiest nose cone I've seen since my Estes Meteor I built in the early 80's. One flight, drifted into the woods next to my house. Found it up in a tree months later in the winter. Oh, well.
