The thing is, when it turns the power bolt like towards “the back” it makes it easier to change the voltage with the same hand in one smooth minimal motion. And the blinking of the .5 voltage variants don’t bother.

I’ve tattooed with coils for 15 years, never used a rotary. I bought a flux about 3 weeks ago and it’s a game changer for me. So nice to not have cords or pedal. The feel is much more natural than a coil machine, and being able to line, shade and pack with one machine is great. I’m looking at getting an exo to have a backup.
@sehakaragoz3 жыл бұрын
What you say about needle marks/frequency is a different point than stroke. The frequency of the needle (frequency of needle hits) does not change due to stroke. It is always the same wether it’s 2.5mm stroke or 4mm. But since the distance is changing and the frequency is the same the speed of the needles change thats all. So 2.5mm and 4mm hits the same number but 4.0 hits harder because the speed is higher

I don’t see the need to line up the volts reader with the tip of the needle I don’t even think there’s a need for the number of volts just by the sound you’ll know what speed you can work with it. Specially if you know how to use coils by the sound of it.

So, stroke talk. They make a 4m... 3.2m... & 2.5m Is there any need to have all three? Or would the 4 & 2.5 be enough to cover line/packing with the 4 and shade work with the 2.5..? Would the 2.5 be too soft?

Long taper needles might hang a little far out on 4mm. The grip doesnt exactly allow you to bring the needle tip flush to the end before the grip unscrewed completely and came off.

@@solostylez2811 yeah for me i achieve color realism at 3.5stroke to a 4mm i think 4.2 is a little hard and its more for solid saturation in realism i try to build layers of color so i use a softer hit the neuma4 is great with the 28. 3.6 cam and i like the sol nova unlimited with the 3.5 cam the exo 3.2 is great aswell for this aswell i think fk irons makes machines woth color 8n mind due to their give etc

@@solostylez2811 no they dont have a 3.5 version and yeah u can accomplish that work with the 3.2 it be easier with a bugger stroke but u can do anything its all a matter of voltage and hand speed bigger stroke would make it slightly easier but thats not like the rule and infortunetely fk iron only makes a four stroke 3.2 and 2.5 version of the exo but id try the packer a little less expensive and its a great all arounder u think u need something softer then try the exo the flux is great aswell for this either one i was only giving u my opinion how my hand works its not the hardline rule
