Hi Ironmover - it could have been a lot worse - and is a good lesson regarding buying cheap(er) from china - as it will not always turn out that way... I was lucky - lets hope its a good flyer... Martyn

Hiya martyn I do like the colour of it , I’m hoping to get my rebel together this year I picked up a ring afterburner for the back of it I’ve also got two 50mm ones to go on my su27 to fit as well but I’m going through a major fibro flare up and everytime I move my muscles are on fire, but it’s warming up a bit now and will hopefully be able to get out soon as my fingers won’t be numb , keep up the vids buddy it’s only thing keeping me sane watching your vids and my other subs , it will be good to see maiden , big salute 🫡 Gary 🇬🇧

Hi Gazza - yes it was the colour and decals that attracted me to it in the first place - I still have my rebel to do .. one of these days/years....I do like the idea of an afterburner but not sure what type ring or the type that fits to the motor - Sorry to read you are having problems, lets hope it gets better as the weather improves, - that's nice of you to say regarding the videos - thanks - yes it will be good to see a maiden it will be good to do some LOL.... plenty of the plan and I am no working this Friday (hope to fly - including some maidens) - hope you are feeling better soon - Martyn

Nice video & beautiful looking plane. I'm on the brink of purchasing my first EDF Jet and the 'viper' 50mm was the front runner as an intro. The marlin was a close second but THIS looks so nice with the paint job. I think there will be a helpful colour differential from underside to topside for visualisation when it's flying too. I notice there looks like availability from 'motionrc' at 220 euros. I'd feel much more comfortable buying from a European distributor (with them taking the shipping risks) than from China. You were a brave man ! Those creases would absolutely 'do' my head in lol. Do you think 'motionrc' are a legitimate outfit ? I see it also at a rediculously low price on Ali-express. Not sure if there's a 'catch' with them ? Roll on your flight test !! Thanks ... (Phil, Essex, UK)

HI - the Arrows 50mm viper is a good little aircraft very stable - only problem is it is small - and gets very small in the air very quickly - I would suggest a larger aircraft something like your 2nd choice the Marlin - its much larger but handles the same way as the Viper and has a good glide path... if Motion RC Europe have them back in stock and you want a Banshee I agree get it from them not china... Motion RC Europe are 100% - I have purchased a lot from them and they have never let me down in fact and do not laugh they always write Thank you with a smiley face on my Receipt, gives it that human feeling - good to hear from you Phil , Cheers Martyn

@@FlankerTanker Hey Martyn. Many thanks for your guidance here. Very much appreciated. I think I might grow out of the viper rather quickly (as i'm reasonably experienced with fixed wing & drones) and would miss those features such as rudder, flaps and the quick stopping of reverse thrust. I'm going to be flying on a tarmac coastal promenade here in Essex as it's nice and wide (early mornings when there aren't too many pedestrians). Funds permitting, in the future my dream plane is the super viper 90mm and I think the Banshee would be better aligned to that going forward. I'm also thinking to fit an inexpensive (£20) gyro the 'Byme-A' which is nicely covered by @GroundControlRC over in the states. Confidence in 'MotionRC' is duly noted. It's so helpful and encouraging that you experienced guys take the time to help us newbies to jets. Cheers, Phil ...(uk).

@@doverivermedia3937 - Phil I think you can still get the 70mm Viper if so inclined - I like using the AR630 RX - with Forward Programming - for AS3X and SAFE not cheap but they have always worked well for me... and when not needed or even if not needed they can be swapped out with ease for an AR620 or even an AR410 if a Bank and Yank machine.. good luck - and please do keep me updated... 7 labels? what nobody there can spell or are they paranoid it'll go to the wrong person? you certainly got robbed on the import duty! $58.00! so ailerons flaps vertical tail horizontal tail motor and nose wheel a 6 channel or something else due to the reverse? do they even make an 8 channel? that speed on 40 amps? if any was going to have a 100 amp you'd figure it'd be this one! that hinge plate for lack of a better name for it is strange you'd think they'd done the hinges on the assembly line!

About half were Chinese and the rest English, I plan to use an AR630 as it does not have any retracts - throttle (and reverse),x 2 Elev, Aile , rudder and flaps = 4 total should be 6 - they do make an 8 channel RX and I would need to use one if it came with retracts .. but I can manage with six....40amps on 4s - should be ok - I expect the speed is a little over stated but if not could be due to the design of the airframe than the 64mm EDF.... I total agree Keith that Hinge tree/plate is strange and indeed seems to be an after thought... I will go see what I can find regarding video info about it all - cheers Keith - Martyn
