kinda wish they would have exposed the brass weight rather than hide it internally. although it does make it look cleaner and more minimal this way, so some people might prefer that.

I couldn't imagine the Xeno being any stiffer than another top mount board. Of course, those who got a half plate may have had an even better experience.

How would you compare the sound to a tofu65 with a poly plate? Or maybe just in general. I have the kbd67 lite, and tofu65, but not sure if the sound of v3 sounds that different to a modded tofu65 to really justify buying it.

not really, you can make a lot of keyboards sound similar with modding, if you care about sound that is

It will change it, but it's not too noticeable IMO

Which is has more deep thocc in your opinion? Aluminum vs injected molded plastic?

Typically the denser the material the less thocc. Plastic is less dense than Aluminum.

Yeah it's not enabled by default in the firmware. So you will need to enable it and recompile.

@@umi6376 I got the hotswap unit, and it is so incredibly stiff. I built a soldered unit for a customer and it was so much better.

@@MechMerlin I have both units hot swap and soldered to me both feel equal the same although I did notice the hotswap slightly stiff but I put in some o rings on the screws and the stiffness is gone. It's a top tier board in my opinion after going through many keyboards in my 3 years into the hobby

@@umi6376 My experience is very different than yours then. I was very thoroughly disappointed in the kbd67mkii. You can actually catch the customer build I did here where I was very happy with it. Unfortunately I would not classify the kbd67mkii as a top tier, even if I had the customer's unit. Too many things about it that didn't feel all that great. I would actually rank it as the worst 65% that kbdfans has sold in terms of sound and feel.
