KBD67 lite aluminum case upgrade (KBD67 V3)

I may have missed it but do you like the sound of the plastic case or the aluminum case more? I love the typing experience of my 67 lite but I am always a sucker for full metal boards.

When I started to get into mechanical keyboard the trend was bronze plates, which tend to give a higher pitch sound. That sound go stuck we me so I tend to gravitate towards higher pitch sounding keyboard. So I'd say I'd have to go with the aluminum case. :) But that's just my preference. :)

Great video! I am coming from a modded alloy Tofu60, full case and plate foam, drilled-out centre posts, PC plate, Boba U4T and GMK WoB. Just ordered the KB67 Lite R2 kit but a little concerned I will love the sound compared to my Tofu but hate the lightness and feel. Is this a good upgrade? Already dropped 200USD on the R2 kit + Durock stabs including international delivery excluding customs charges. Can pick up the V3 case within EU for 125 EUR with no import duties. I think I would prefer the build quality but it will take a drop in thock but may sound nicer with the Bobas. What do you think?

I've got one of these and I love it - though I do wish they'd taken the step of chamfering the seams between the top and bottom half; it would have gone a long way to mitigating the iffy seam look it has now.

Hi, how about the flex on alu case? same as the plastic case (means, little to no flex)? The gasket mount for the Lite wouldn't allowed for much flex (am I right?) and I assume that it will be the same for the alu case? Would you like to share your thought on that? Thanks man!

is there like a silicone gasket on the aluminum one? the one you put somewhere in the top case of the lite.

Any issues with alignment? I notice that there is a small edge on the front when assembled. But I am wondering if something is just causing it to do that.

It's only aesthetic, but it is hard to avoid - there will pretty much always be some minor misalignment between those edges. This is why lots of customs have chamfered / beveled edges on those seams - that goes a very long way towards making those imperfections less obvious.

Both plastic case and metal case look better than the M65 keyboard what are you talking about? The M65 looks so bulky. I just bought myself the 67 Lite. Even with the premium on it right now and the fact that I had to order it from Germany, it is still the best you can get for the money. It's nice to know that if I ever want a metal case for it I can buy one. I think I will do it just because I do own so many plastic case keyboards. Gotta have at least one metal.

Hi I am planning to build my own custom keeb. I was originally planning to get an rkg68 and just change switches and keycaps. but I really want the tofu acrylic case. Can u guys help me wc one to get? I want ones with arrow keys I really cannot give those up XD my choices are: KBD67 Lite KBD67 MARKII DZ60 RGB DZ65 RGB which one is going to be good for an endgame keyboard cause for their price point it is already too expensive for me hehe thank you so much ♥
