i find the peak a little too heavy for its size! do you find it too heavy too?

Oh yeah its heavy!! More importantly I didn't like the sounds coming from it. Ive tried to tweak it so many times but it has a sound that I really don't like. I think its great for EDM type music so that's all I really use it for.

So the Collider is a guitar pedal with a MIDI out, and the Novation is a synth. Are you implying that you are going to play guitar thru the pedal and use the MIDI out to drive the synth?

LOL no they both just happened to arrive on the same day.. but I do run my synths through guitar pedals sometimes..
