This one is prolific across You Tube & seemingly much loved. I'm sure your mods will make this one the envy of those reviewers. It is not for me as I'm not a fan of the ultra deep carry. I know, blasphemy, but I prefer to have 3/8 inch or so above the pocket. I have not embraced front flippers as of yet as I already have enough different opening methods to confuse me. That said, I'm sure it would serve well for most people's cutting jobs.

Thank you! No worries, I'm the same way about super deep carry pocket clips. I prefer a little bit of the knife to stick out(show off my custom scales😉), that way I can grap the knife without pinching the clip on my pocket🙂 Front flippers are starting to grow on me, I think you'd enjoy it.

Nice value. And you see them everywhere on YT etc. Even in micarta for the same price I guess? Personally no go, linerlock, so I pass. But off course I am already positive you wil make it a sensational knife!

I don't know why knife guys are so obsessed with the stupid spidey flick, or looking for new "cool" ways to open the knife. Just open the damned thing and cut something and call it a day... I can't think of any knife I have ever owned or wanted, that a deciding factor was if I could open it with a middle finger... If its a flipper or thumb stud, likely the ergos are built around that and it invariably is the easiest and most efficient way to open it. I never saw the opening method as a way to "identify" as for ego reasons...

I think it's a great way to open a knife, a very quick form of deployment. However, it's not always something I need in a knife, I love Cold Steel knives and their not really spydie-flickable, which is fine. I just think that being able to spydie flick a knife is a bonus feature but to each their own🙂

@@KnathansKnives I am a person that is less interested in what people do, and more fascinated by why they do it. Spidey Flick is all the rage, I believe, because knife guys, just like anyone who identifies with any sport or object, want to feel special and different. And so in this case, coming up with a new way to open a knife and "look cool", fills that need. I have watched hundreds of hours on this, and watched tutorials and how to practice and master this technique. That tells me that it's not a good technique. Opening a tool like a knife should be simple and intuitive. if you have to build up a skill, or practice it on each knife to get the movement and grip committed to muscle memory so that you can do it reliably without tossing the knife on the ground 20% of the time, then that says that it's not simple and not intuitive. And for me, a knife is a tool. I don't want to have to dick around with it to get it open and into action, and so this method seems like form over function. It's to be different. Time will tell if I am right, but if I am, the moment that the spidey flick is used by the majority, then it won't be special or different any more, and folks seeking that attention will move on to... "the inverted pinky toe flick" or something... Everyone wants to be seen sitting at the cool kid's table at lunch... even if they have to manufacture a means to do it. haha But good review, I will check out that brand. And maybe I will do some more research and then do a video on the "psychology of the knife guy" one day. :-)
