I was impressed with the amount of detail that was put into the box, and the books. This is a diehard "The Shining" fans Holy Grail of collectibles. Looks like hours of reading to take it all in. Very interesting indeed. I must say, your dog Buddy is the cutest little bugger by the way. So gentle and lovable looking. I patted him through the screen.

That is absolutely incredible Sean wow! I’m a huge fan of The Shining myself it’s always been one of my all-time favourites. I didn’t have any clue about this book. I agree it’s definitely a must have, but unfortunately at that price point not for this guy sadly. That would be over $2000 Canadian for me and it’s easily the most elaborate book set up I’ve ever seen for any film, i’m totally blown away! Thanks so much for sharing, would be amazing to own a copy of this one day. 🤘😜

Taschen makes beautiful books. Love it. That book set is a true historical record if you think about it. So many people from the film have passed, or are next to impossible to get ahold of (e.g. Nicholson), people will turn to that book for years to come as a definitive resource for facts about the making of the movie and what was in the script. I'd pay $1500 for it and may grab one. Super cool! 🤟🏻

This IS a beautiful collectible for anyone who loved this movie...... I remember reading the book the week that it first came out and was horrified!! We stood in line for 4 hours the weekend that the movie was originally released in Seattle along with 15 fan friends of the book. Sadly.......ALL OF US BUT 3 HATED IT!!!!! Slaughter of the classic book. I was really shocked when you said it was your FHFofAT! Richard

Nice doggo! My friend earlier in life had a big brown wiener dog named buddy. He was very overweight and we had fun watching trying to roll over for treats lol! The set looks amazing but I really don't see how they came up with the price? Way too spendy :( What's important is if it's worth it to you which you love the shining and your rich so you deserve it ;) That one drawing looked like she was sewing her pants and you could see her pubes or something lol That scatman was a great one and I loved him as hong Kong phooey!

I'm only interested in one thing: the deleted scenes. If there any that are interesting or if they're just stuff than deserved to be cut. The Shining is one of my all-time favorite films and Kubrick was notorious for destroying anything cut from his movies to prevent them from being used so a glimpse of what those might've been are especially of interest.

Also to comment on your video from before where you spoke with the “con” guys when Rick spoke on Shelley not doing cons, I tend to agree. She did an extensive interview with GrimmLife as they are a producer on her recent film, Rick hit the nail on the head with her memory is sharp as a tack with recalling memories from decades ago. I can also see how she can drift into other things though and a con would be overwhelming for her already brilliant mind to take on. This book collection is amazing. Shelley should see it!!!

I had no clue they were producers on that film. Not really sure what that means exactly though they likely just donated to it since I believe it was crowd funded. I hadn't seen that interview before. I think the fact that they had to interview her through her car window speaks volumes about her comfort level though. Maybe she can sign autographs from her car window in the parking lot of a convention. LOL!

By the way, Sean, where did you get your 'Eyes Wide Shut' mask? Mine was made for me in Europe by the guy who made them for Kubrick using the original mold and materials and had that hairline fracture look, etc. And, naturally, it wasn't cheap but definitely worth it.
