The only reason not to get a lab grown diamond is resale value. If you never plan to sell lab grown is the way to go. You can get a beautiful rated stone for a lot less money. I appreciate your honesty on the subject, some people are afraid to admit they have a lab grown. My ring has an elongated cushion as well and I love it. My stone is only 2.26 carats but my setting 3.8 carats of baguettes and princess cut stones. It’s a mined Diamond and we paid $41,000 10 years ago. If I had to do it over I’d go lab grown 100%. Your ring is gorgeous! It seems your ring is turning because of the weight, get a small ball made inside it to keep it from moving on your finger. 😊

Never plan on selling it so I’m good. It’s really too big but the weight of the stone doesn’t help. I have a sizing thing in it now since I can’t get it sized at the moment.

Lab diamonds ARE DIAMONDS! It is that simple even if many want to look for excuses to disqualify them. They are physically and chemically identical. Not even Experts without the right equipment can see the difference. Without a doubt, and especially if it is a piece forever, lab diamonds are the best option. Why pay ten times more for the same thing? You definitely made the best decision.

I think we made the right decision, too. Honestly, I was perfectly happy wearing a CZ and never had an issue telling someone it was a CZ. If I hadn’t lost weight, I’d still be wearing the CZ. 😂🤣

Rings are like bags…you should buy what you can afford and what makes you happy. 🩷It’s a sentimental thing. . There are so many types of stones…similar to handbags, that I’ve never been interested in either thing. I don’t think any of these things are status symbols because anyone these days can find their “dream” item in a big or small budget. Interestingly, I like watching other people buy things I don’t buy. 😂😂 Your husband was quite sweet about wanting you to be happy. 💕

You’re absolutely right, Kimberly. I honestly don’t think of any of the luxury items I own as a status symbol. I buy them because I love them. There’s no one inside or outside of my life I’m trying to impress. I just think they’re beautiful.
