I’m so glad you are doing this video. As a black woman. I feel white women needs some to explain wigs to them. Thank you ❤

I loved watching this video!! (Can you tell I am catching up on your videos that I missed?! 😆) I love how much fun you are having with the crowns. TBH, I totally thought you were wearing one in the beginning, so just so you know I think your bio hair looks great too. ❤❤❤

Lisa, I really like your crowns but you have beautiful natural hair too. Love the idea of changing looks! Thank you for sharing and being so vulnerable ❤

Thank you, you’re very sweet. It’s hard knowing my hair is so much thinner than it used to be. But I’m working on regrowth.

I love it! And the message is so supportive that anyone for any reason can do a wig ❤ or any form of extensions / hair pieces!

Absolutely! We do some many things to alter/better our appearances, wigs shouldn’t be any different 💜

You look amazing!!! I am totally intrigued!! This might be a great solution to me having to frequently color my grays, esp around my hairline!!! Thank you for sharing this info!!!

It’s awesome for that! My roots look crazy right now while traveling but no worries here! Just thrown in a wig and my hair is perfectly colored every day!

That’s the wig grip I wear too- the one with the nylon string in back. I have a massive collection of namebrand wigs from various designers like Jon Renau, Raquel Welch, BelleTress, which is my favorite brand, Tressallure, Ellen Wille etc. none of those have combs, they have the ear tab stays.

I’ve only tried belle tress so far outside of CSC for synthetic. I have to say I’m pretty disappointed in my belle tress wig. It tangles and mats horribly. Ive invested in several human hair wigs since filming this video. Really happy with them.

Great outlook, I wish wigs were totally normalized !😊

Me, too. It took a while for extensions to get normalized. Hopefully the higher visibility through TikTok will help move wig wearing forward more quickly.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video! I'm having menopausal issues (and a lifetime of being a salon blonde) with my hair and now it's breaking, shedding, and damaged. I can't grow it out and I miss my long hair. I'm getting a crown! Seeing another professional woman (I'm a professor) rocking them, like you do, has convinced me. Are your top companies Chelsey Smith and Belle Tress? I'm looking at the Dakota from CS (sold out right now) but I'm open to long-hair, blonde suggestions with moveable part ability. Thanks again for sharing so openly and educating us.

You are so welcome! I would steer you away from belle tress. I love the look of them but I realize now they tangle horribly. All heat friendly wigs will tangle due to friction. With your clothing but the BT wigs seem to get crazy tangled and within minutes of wearing them. If you want synthetic, I’d stick with Chelsey smith to start. They are budget friendly and good quality in my mind. I honestly don’t think spending $300+ on a synthetic wig is worth it (now saying that know that I only have experience with BT as a higher priced version). I’d personally spend the extra money and get a human hair wig. I’d say start with CSC and get accustomed to wearing them and then maybe move into human. I just found a fantastic source for European human hair wigs that is very reasonable. Happy to share if/when you’re interested.
@roaminghistorian223411 күн бұрын
@luxuryandlifeinthemiddle thank you! For the price of CSC, I don't mind synthetic...especially since I have to get used to them. But I'm definitely interested in human hair, too, if it's reasonably priced and ethically-sourced. Please share the European source when you're able. Thanks a million!

You have access in NY to hasidic wig makers. I don’t think there are better than that.
@luxuryandlifeinthemiddle21 күн бұрын
Yes but most are outside of the city. And I’m not paying $10K for a Shani wig 🤣😂
@miradonfbd20 күн бұрын
@ I don’t know what shani is but the wigs are beautiful. And they maintain them and style them. Maybe you could pay 10k but I don’t think that’s typical.

Hm ... my hair didnt grow back until I gained weight back, I waited a couple of years... now I am fat again and my hair is about 50% regrown. But now my hair is not filling in any further. I might have to get wigs, too. But I want to start losing weight again.

That's interesting. Did you speak to a doctor about it to make sure nothing else was going on?
