I love Squier guitars. That thing sounds great for 299. Simple setup and a fret polish is all it needs. Those riffs are killer, too! Nice voice leading and melody lines between chords. Keep it up bro!

That means so much! Thank you! I agree. Once I get it set up, it’ll play like a dream. Thanks for watching, and never stop jamming! 🍻

Very nice playing man :) Love the guitar... I have always been a sucker for the big 70s headstock Fender necks.... I have a Fender Stratocaster 70s re-issue Mexican on the wall behind me... Need a little TLC due to some wear and tear... But seeing this I might have to buy me a Squier like this soon 🙂 KK from Norway.

I appreciate that so much! Yeah, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good this $299 Squier has been. That’s cool you have a 70’s reissue. I’ve been starting to dig the bigger headstocks, too. Thanks again, and never stop jamming! 🍻

Have you used the Cort G250?? I'm considering between the two, the Cort got an Alnico V pickup so I don't really sure which one sound better. Thanks for the details you gave man!

I really need to contact Cort to see if I can collaborate with them. I haven’t tried them yet. That’s cool if they have Alnico V Pickups. Thanks for the insight, and thank you so much for watching! Have a great weekend! 🍻

nice guitar the one I got a very long time looked very similar (this was probably like 20 years ago), but it was a squire strat as well ... just sold it at our last garage sale. the bottom bridge came up and there was a crack in the wood (probably from sitting tuned for a very long time) ... I hadn't played it in probably 15 years

Ooh! I’m sorry you had to part with yours. Yeah, it could have been from sitting for a long time under full tension. Thanks, as always, for watching! Have a great weekend! 🍻

Sounds good man , I usually keep my tuner on the guitar I try not to leave it on . Digging the Buc ee’s hat too 😅

Thanks so much! Well, I don’t have to worry about my clip-on tuner drama anymore. It quit working not long after making this video. 🤦🏼♂️🤣 I still see no problem with leaving it on. I’m back to using the tuner on my board. I appreciate it again, and never stop jamming! 👊🏻😎🍻

I’m glad your Squier worked out for you! I’ve been impressed with all the ones I’ve owned. I haven’t done any tutorials for a long time. I may bring them back at some point. I’ve been busy playing road shows, so I may be a bit. Thank you so very much again for watching and commenting! I really do appreciate it! 🍻

Can't really decide if it's worth it to spend almost double for the Classic Vibe series, instead of this.
@OneRayMusicАй бұрын
That’s understandable. You probably already know this, but with the Classic Vibe series, it’s good to know the features of the different eras they’re emulating. You may like a ‘50s classic vibe or prefer the ‘60s for examples. I will say that the classic vibes are made really well and very much worth their price if you wanted to hold out for one. If not, I would recommend the Affinity series. I do think it’s better than their Sonic series. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
@DerpEyeАй бұрын
@@OneRayMusic Thanks. Today I went to the shop to set up my Tokai, and i tried an affinity (and a bullet). I like the feel of the guitar, and its lightness, bit I dislike the satin finish, which to me feels weird to the touch. I would probably go for the classic vibe, whatever the decade they're emulating.
@OneRayMusicАй бұрын
I’m with you on the satin finish. A lot of people use that as a selling point, but I prefer the feel of the necks on the Classic Vibes, too. My Bass VI is a Classic Vibe, and my Paranormal Series Nashville Stratocaster has a Classic Vibe-style neck too that I dig.

Man I bought one last week and it came in terrible completely unplayable. Fret ends are like razors the about of dead frets and fret buzz is unreal. It is by far the worst guitar I have ever touched in over 30 years. I haven't seen anyone else have these problems I'm so disappointed
@OneRayMusic2 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry to hear that! Squier’s quality control must not be up to snuff at all. I hope you were able to return it to either get a different one or just your money back.
@GOOSE-13342 ай бұрын
@OneRayMusic I called a guy who builds custom guitars and talked to him he told me to bring it to him on Tuesday and he will check it out and if he could do all the fret work and a full set up and all he'd only charge me like 100 bucks. He also said if it's too bad he will just tell me to return it so we shall see.
@OneRayMusic2 ай бұрын
Good luck. I hope he can fix it up for you!

Your guitar looks more like a cherry burst compared to the one on Sweetwaters site. It's beautiful. My concern would be the body thickness when installing an upgraded bridge.
@OneRayMusic3 ай бұрын
Yeah. It’s the Sienna Sunburst. It has a nice red to orange hue in person. I’m pretty sure the routing can handle a full-sized block, but I would consult with a tech to definitely make sure. Thanks for watching!
