I finally have it! YES! I have wanted this deck since I discovered it existed. The only other deck that I waited with this much anticipation was the Oracle of the Hekatean Path deck. It's every bit as gorgeous as I was hoping for. It's also a whole lot thicker than I thought, which will be difficult for my jacked up hands, but they are so beautiful I'll suck it up. What really bothered me was that the 12th and 13th cards of the Major Arcana were stuck together with a dot of adhesive or paint. I'm still not sure what it was, but I was able to remove it. It took the shine off of the unboxing for me a little bit. But they're here! I have my cards! Now, to order the Ephemere deck. That will have to wait for Christmas, though. (or will it)
My name is Robert. In 2016, I was diagnosed with something called Valley Fever (coccidiomichosis). It's a fungal spore in the dirt throughout some of the Southwest. Fungal as in mushrooms. I'm in Arizona. Normally, IF anyone has symptoms, it's usually flu-like symptoms that may last a day, and that's it. However, to 1% of the population, it's fatal. Hi, I'm 1%. By the time they realized what was happening to me, I had developed lesions in my lungs and one on my cerebellum. Yup. Shroom for brains. The only option was brain surgery to remove the brain lesion. The doctor was able to remove most of it, but not all. That just means that I have to be on medication to prevent it from growing and to prevent more lesions from developing. The cerebellum is responsible for coordinating voluntary movements. It's also responsible for a number of functions, including motor skills such as balance, coordination, and posture. I was a hairstylist/ nail tech before the operation. I now have balance problems, and I tend to fall occasionally, but it's OK. I look very dashing using a walking stick. I drop things ALOT, and I have severe hands tremors, I can't lift anything too heavy, and I get tired pretty quickly. So, now I'm retired. Now that I'm in a new phase of life, I decided to go back to one of my first loves, tarot. Tarot and my spirituality helped to get me back on track. Actually, they helped me find a new track. I leaned into my gifts. I decided life was short, and I should be doing what I could to help people. I do that as a professional Tarot Reader.
