Unboxing Two Vorwerk Vacuum Cleaners & Accessories

I made this video a while ago and my feelings about Vorwerk have changed, but here’s a look at a couple of older models.

If you buy a Vorwerk vacuum cleaner. And if you take good care of it, it will work for you for a lifetime. From a reputable dealer, you can buy a really good device for little money. My VK135 is 15 years old and works like it did on the first day. This purchase is worth it. Greetings from Germany:-)

The reason Vorwerk went from the green to the white colour was because of the Thermomix TM31, TM5,TM6. They wanted the two dervisions to be the same colour and design for consitancy of products. thoes addapters do allow eletric current through them, they are for connecting the new style connector to the older machine with the Dshape opening e.g. the EB360 powerhead to the VK120 models or the VT251 tiger models. what you can get for the VK131 is a canister trolley accessory that can turn it from an upright to a Canister vacuum, it usualy is sold with a powered hose with a slider swich on the handel of the hose and a powered wand. The VK Model line up of machines is: VK118, VK119, VK 120, VK121, VK, 122 -> VK130,VK131 -> VK135, VK136 -> VK140, VK150 -> VK200.

Heavens that green! Over 20 years ago it was everywhere here in the US. Hoover vacuums, shower curtains, towels, bedspreads, sheets etc. etc. Yikes. Wonderful fun video as always.

I think that on the hose with the shoulder strap is another adapter on the end with the strap, that’s why it didn’t fit. And totally love your videos Thank you for making and sharing with us

Hi roger The tools that came with the first unboxing (vk135) actually belong to the VK131. The hose in that box has an adaptor fitted to it to fit older models which can be removed. The tools in the second unboxing are all non gen tools apart from the wheeled hard floor head which belongs to a VK121.

Sorry also to say the two matching hard floor tools belong to the vk131. The vk135 had a wheeled tool similar to the one you have with your VK200. It was called HD30 from memory

I don’t upload as often as I want to, but hopefully I will get back to at least two videos a week soon as I have a huge backlog of cleaners to film. I won’t be bringing back the Amazon wish list for Christmas as I always felt a bit awkward about receiving gifts from people even though they were gratefully received. It’s nice to know that people want to give something back, but I am happy if they just thumb up, comment and subscribe. 🙂

I am Vorwerk seller here in Italy, it's interesting you prefer vk131 to vk135. You didn't show the hepa filters fitted in both cleaners... you opened the filter door on the 131 but you didn't take off the filter. On 135 the filter is on the side.

the powered hose you mentioned it's there because the tube isn't genuine. Given the motorized heads, they had to buy a powered hose or adaptor otherwise the motorized heads wouldn't work

The VK 131 seems to be alright, with the VK 135 check whether the HEPA post motor filter is installed - you can find it under the grille on the right side. just pull it out - it won't break and there is no release button or something. If the HEPA is installed and clean, I would assume that the motor is a non genuine one that is not installed properly.

The 135 have the new bag and hepa filter and a motor 10 times stronger than the old, with this new bag it wont lose powef suction also! Any way the spund that it make he 135 theres somethign wrong with it!

it's so funny seeing you so uncertain because you don't know the item😂😂😂😂😂here in Italy we call it Folletto which means Elf. The Folletto is soooo popular here, it's the ABC of the vacuum cleaners. It's hugely expensive but it's worth...although it's now slowly been replaced by Dyson

In Italy, it is called Folletto (sprite) because the model in german is called Kobold (VK = Vorwerk Kobold) and Kobold means sprite. The legend tells that when they made the first model the secretary yelled: " it looks quite like a sprite"! (but I have no idea if this is a real story) :-D

@frezzalata Vorwerk appliances ( Thermomix, Kobold, Tiger, Temial and discontinued items like Felina ) has always been expensive whatever the country it is sold. The price also depends on the package you want, but if i remember i bought my complete VK 140 set for 1600€ or something ( without window cleaner and hand vacuum cleaner )

Well your pronunciation for Vorwerk is very good for an English man but not as ‘perfect’ as a German guy can pronounce it. My tip: Learning by hearing, so watch a video by Vorwerk in German language.

@Paul Benaczek Native english speakers don't pronounce the letter " e " like germans do. This sound is unnatural for them, and very hard to make them pronounce it well. Same when they try to speak French or Italian, they always get in trouble with words with " e " in them.
